Both the Generac generator and Midwest Generator Solutions are great. The generator ran for 100 hrs during a outage this summer with no problems. Midwest tech was great doing the yearly maintenance and checkup on unit. Highly recommend Generac and Midwest Generator Solutions.

I installed a Kohler generator last fall 2018 and was searching for someone to do my annual maintenance. They were good on price, but when I went to schedule the service, on a three year contract, I was told they only do this service work from March to August. I was not told this in any communications with them. They would come out and do a one time service for me in October, but at a higher price. I asked them to reconsider since I wanted to sign a three year contract and no one responded to my follow up.

+ -1 moreThis is the second time Midwest Generator Solutions has came out and taken on a very difficult installation for me. Their performance was outstanding - delivering on all promises and definitely going the extra mile to ensure that I was happy and that the generator (and in this case electrical work) were the best possible fit. Both the RushShelby and Vectron personnel that came out to do the meters and electrical hookups (new transformers, etc.) were appreciative of the quality of their work and made an effort to tell me so. I am happy to say that it actually kicked on the other night - I experienced about a 20 second lights out and then it was on and everything continued like normal (as it should!). The generator ran for about 14 min and the power came back on the transfer back to normal electrical was so smooth it was almost unnoticeable.
Description of Work: Major electrical re-work and 60 KW Standby (Fully Automatic) Generator installation. MGS came in and replace the existing service connections to both the house and a large pole barn, they ran over 400' of heavy gauge electrical wire underground (200' from generator to each building). They installed the meter base for RushShelby Electric to hook up to and the gas connections for Vectron Gas. During this process they remove and replaced several poorly done installations that were done before I purchased this home. This was a major and very significant installation and they were meticulous in the performance of the installation.
