John does very professional, quality work. We had received 3-4 positive references from friends and family. The project started the same week John promised, and finished on time and within budget. The workmanship is very high, with an attention to detail, and good clean-up. John offered a lot of input to the design on what would work well, what wouldn't, etc. because we had a lot of needs around space, parking, etc. He wasn't pushy or upselly - he even mentioned a couple spaces where we shouldn't spend more money. My only complaint is John can be hard to get a hold of via the phone / voicemail, and sometimes his attention to detail on contracts and paperwork needed some watching. He had forgotten about special window needs in the dormers, and that we had requested windows in the side door. But, he remembered them in the end, and there were no issues. To be fair, we talked about a lot of options and changed our minds. So, just be sure to document the final decisions.
