Dutch Cleaning Service

We made the cleaning appointment WELL in advance for a 4 person crew - we were present and ready at the scheduled start.  The maid crew showed up 45 minutes late.  Then one maid proceeded to go home early after less than an hour.  We then received a call from their 'home office' stating that it was getting late and they like to finish their crews mid-afternoon so they were ending our cleaning early before everything could be completed.

I reminded them that WE were there at the scheduled start, that we had both taken a day off work to be present (property is an out-of-state second home), and that we had reserved a crew of 4 and it's not our fault one left early.  They would not budge.

What cleaning they did was average, but the project was left incomplete.  The cost was grossly excessive and came out on a per hour basis to 100% more than we pay back in our home town of Chicago ($350).  Note:  rural northern Indiana is typically far less for services than a large city.

So folks, don't use this firm.  They clearly care about themselves a whole lot more than their clients.  No doubt they get away with it because the competition in this rural area for home cleaning services is so light.

They have been cleaning our house every two weeks for the past couple of years. I have never had any problems with their people or their service. I would definitely recommend them. They bring in a team of three or four individuals and get the house done in about an hour or slightly less.

As they were getting ready to go I noticed that my kitchen floors we streaked all over, which they attempted to fix to no avail. I told them I would take care of it and they left. (I did have to clean my kitchen floors a couple of time to get it back to normal)

Upon checking the rest of the job I noticed that my kitchen bench and my bathtub were not cleaned. The living room carpet had

so many footsteps that I could not tell where it was vacuumed.

All in all, I was disappointed after hearing the good prior experiences posted on this sight.

I did received a phone call to follow up and was able to let them know my concerns; he offered to send someone over to take care of it but I declined since I was already doing it myself. No other contact was made.

After my husband killed himself in 2012, no one lived in my home for a yr and a half. I eventually completely emptied the house and called Dutch Clnrs to prepare it for selling since I had satisfactorily used them before. I was EXTREMELY disappointed! I asked for special care on hard wood floors and they didn't even wash them because "they just soaked up water." 2 closets that were cat haunts were not touched. They found a shell and what they thought was blood splatter (actually drops of gun oil and scrapes from wood shelves being taken down) in 1 room (my hunter husband's man cave, not where he died) and called me and the police. In another room, they didn't vacuum because there was cat hair on top of the carpet. They swept the basement dirt into a corner and just left it there and they didn't even touch the screened in porch or the mud room on the back of the house. In all fairness, they did do a nice job on the blinds. As my daughter says, people will take advantage of me since I'm a widow. Sad

At first the ladies did a satisfactory job. They were prompt and everything was done just as we had discussed on our initial visit. Things went well and I was happy with my service. However over time the ladies started to and quot;surface cleanand quot;. Details were overlooked and things just weren't being done. The dusting wasn't done thoroughly and every week it seemed to be done less and less. At the end of our service the kitchen floors weren't even being done. When my grand baby walked on the floor immediately after they left his socks were filled with dirt because damp mopping just isn't effective on tile floors. I can't prove it but it seemed like the vacuum being used was nicking up my walls and it was rare to vacuum under anything. They spent an awful lot of time putting things back exactly where they found them that nothing ever seemed straightened such as lining up shoes at the back door. I was given a start time that we initially agreed on but it was hardly ever met. We set a one hour window for arrival, then a two hour window, then an email the day before to narrow down the time but it was never consistent. Most of the cleaning staff was friendly but not all. The management was friendly and always got back to me right away and were very understanding when I needed to cancel last minute for things like illness. They tried to work with me to fix any cleaning issues and were honest and sincere about wanting to provide good service but I just wanted it done and not to have to worry about it. Overall, I think they have good intentions and are good people but the structure for their business needs to focus more on customers needs and they need to train their cleaning staff to take pride in their work.

Initial cleaning was not completed as requested. Crew finished on a subsequent visit, which was added to our bill. Each time the crew was out, they neglected to fully clean our kitchen tile. Furniture was not swept under including beds, couches, etc. Showers/tubs were not cleaned thoroughly. These issues were addressed after each visit and assurance was given that the subsequent visit would provide better results, but the same issues continued.

They are on time and clean very well.

The service was good but not as detailed as the owner had described.
When he came to our home, the owner provided a very thorough list of
items to be done. Most were done---and done well. Some were never
done. For example, he made a point to talk about having the exterior
entryway swept out. It was never done. We were not fans of the vacuum
cleaner they use. It is basically a shop vac.
OUR BIGGEST COMPLAINT: I had to call and switch our time for service. At this
point, we had been using them for about three months. They rescheduled
and also sent an email to let us know that our price went from approx.
$115 to $150. Just shy of a 30% increase from THEIR quoted price.
They seem like genuinely nice people, but the price increase was far too steep for us to absorb.

I first called this company because I had been in mourning and my house hadn't been cared for in several years. I was told that they charge $83 the first hour and $21 for each 1/4 hr. thereafter and I could pay by the hour or by the job. I started out having them come 4 hours a week to scrub down all the walls and clean out the cupboards, etc. They were so efficient that they finished this in half the time I thought it would take. They now come every other week to do general cleaning in my 2000 sq. ft. house and the $104 I pay is exactly what I was quoted for that job. I call them my "Dream Team".

three people came. Took the 1 hour. The did an excellent job and are now on their schedule for every 4 weeks.

They do amazing housework. They leave the house sparking. They are very reasonably priced too!
