Finally called the Sears Service Center's 800 number. But the days available were always 10 days out and never matched my schedule. ( luckily I have a second oven, but this process was a right of spring and fall over 3 years. I finally retired and tried calling Sears again.
THIS TIME THE 800 call line was a terrible experience. So terrible that while I waited forever while the woman asked me three questions, I went on line, GO ON LINE, made my appointment for the next day and just hung up the phone before she had finished the call. No surprise, she didn't even call back.
My expectations were low based on other Sears reviews. What an unexpected surprise. The Sears repair man called to see if I was available earlier in the day. He was PROMPT, was very PLEASANT, FIXED MY OVEN, and accepted my online coupon.
By this time I had been so worried that the oven couldn't be fixed, that the opening in my wall would not be big enough or sized right for a new oven. Instead I had a great ending to my Sears repair experience. And now I"m Cooking On Gas?..
