Stanley Steemer Carpet Cleaner

We had tons of dust all over our basement floor in our newly constructed home. It was so bad we could use the basement and he steam cleaned the concrete floor and did a fantastic job and we can now use the basement.

They had a special going for three rooms for $150 or something like that. I had an L shaped living room and dining room area all open into each other, because there was and 18 by 18 square column in the living room area, they counted it as three rooms. It was under the square footage for the maximum. It was 2 or 3 rooms. There was a column where the exhaust went form the basement to the room. They counted as multiple rooms. I was still square footage wise, under the amount. They were going to charge me more money. They got there and he was explaining all of that to me. I said that the special was whatever it was. He said no because the column was there, he had to charge me for two rooms. I said okay pack up, we're not doing this. I called a guy, and it had taken several days to get an appointment with them. I sent them on their way, and I looked in the phone book and found a guy that came that day and charged me half the special rate, and did all of it for me.

They did a good job. We’re quite happy. They had given us one thing on the phone but when they got there, it was a little different.

This entire process was easy and smooth with excellent results.  The girl that took my initial call was very nice and based on my room size information told me the price was even less than I expected.  We scheduled the appointment at my convenience and the truck arrived right on time.  Per instructions I had already removed knick-knacks and small tables etc., but the two guys moved the furniture, pretreated spots, cleaned the carpet and put the furniture back exactly where it had been (on foam blocks or plastic squares to protect the legs).  They provided me with plastic booties to wear while the carpet dried (about 24 hours).  They were polite and professional and were done in about 45 minutes.   My carpet looks GREAT!  (And it is over 10 years old).

They were very quick. They explained what they were going to do before they did it. It was good.

Very professional, and very fast work. I am extremely happy with the work that they did. Carpet looked great when they were finished.

They did a little upselling for additional services while they were here but I didn't feel pressured. I am actually going to buy additional services based on their description of the work they can do.

I called on the phone to get a quote. They charged a flat rate for bathrooms and two rooms for my kitchen which was 280 square feet. They also cleaned a laundry room and front hallway. I was quoted $496.00. I asked if that was for the entire job and was informed that yes, it was. Before I hung up the phone after scheduling I asked again if $496 was the total price and again was informed that it was. I was surprised that the technician took so much time measuring since I had already been quoted a firm price. I told him this and he kept measuring. He then said he had to go to his truck to call the office. He then presented e with a bill for about $570. I called the office and spoke with t's same woman I scheduled with. After informing her of the above she denied tat she quoted me a firm price and said it depended on the measurements. I could have sent them away but I had invested about 45 minutes by this time and just wanted it done. They did a decent, not great job, but I really feel like I got scammed and will never use this company again. If you use them, get your quote in writing ahead of time.

I had no problems; they arrived when they said they would, were courteous and efficient, and finished the job in a relatively short amount of time.

They were an easy company to find, the condition the carpet was in they were miracle workers and they did amazing. They were not able to get everything out but they got out more them we expected. The previous owners had a mechanic and dogs and the floor was gross. We couldn't afford getting the carpets done right at buying the house so we were like crap, we need to try and clean them up a little bit. They were awesome and I give them an A all the way. Oh, God yes, I would use them again.

Absolutely excellent. I bought a doormat for my outside door and some spot cleaner in addition to the carpet cleaning. They were very professional and very fast.

They were pretty good. I went through their website to schedule the work. The bill increased more than I expected when they came to the house. I suggest anyone to make sure of your room sizes and get familiar with extras before you schedule the appointment.

They miss-quoted us and included their specials but instead over charged us $300. When I tried to resolve the issue they responded with, "Then don't ever use our company again.". I would not recommend their services to anyone.

Excellent.  They professional, explained their services and did a good job.

They arrived on time, toured the house and sprayed spot cleaner on a few areas.  We had done an estimate of cost at their site on-line and were expecting the bill to be in the $189 range.  After figuring up the quote in person, I was told it would be over $330.  I called my husband at work and had the service representative talk to him directly.  I did not speak with my husband afterwards, and apparently should have.  Although they had been told we did not want to buy the bottle of spot cleaner for future use, they included it in the final price.  I was unhappy with the fact that they did not get out the main stains I had wanted dealt with. (The service rep's comment was - "At least they're clean now".) Then, once my husband came home to find they had left the spot cleaner and charged us $18 for it, he was upset as well.  The very next day we drove to their offices in Merrillville to return the unopened product.  They would not give us a refund, stating " The receipt says there are no refunds."  This continued to be their stand, even when informed he had specifically been told we did not want the product.  We had gone with this company because we had heard they do good work.  I not only did not find that to be the case, but then felt cheated and tricked as well. As a side note, anyone considering using them should also know the carpets are left very wet and you have to deal with that for several days.  Although you can walk on them after 24 hours without getting your socks wet, the styrofoam blocks placed under the furniture have to remain for 3-4 days and leave deep dents.  All in all, I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH STANLEY STEEMER'S SERVICES. THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND JUST DID A VERY GOOD JOB. THE PEOPLE WERE NICE AND THE PRICES WERE DECENT. I HAD NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM WHATSOEVER.

STANLEY STEEMER DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB EVERY TIME I CALL AND HAVE THEM COME AND CLEAN MY CARPETS FOR ME. THE PRICES ARE A LITTLE HIGH, BUT I ALSO HAD SHAMPOOING AND DEODORIZING DONE ON MY FLOOR.

I THOUGHT THAT THEIR PRICES WERE A LITTLE HIGH. THERE WERE A FEW STAINS THAT THEY COULD NOT GET OUT. THEY WORKED EFFICIENTLY. ON THE WHOLE, THEY DID A NICE JOB.

WE HAVE KIDS AND THEY MANAGED TO GET OUT FOOD STAINS THEY HAVE MADE. I HAVE USED THEM OFF AND ON FOR YEARS. I WOULD USE THEM MORE OFTEN IF THE PRICE WAS LOWER. I HAVE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH THEM.

I WOULD SAY STANLEY STEEMER IS A QUICK COMPANY, MEANING THEY GET THE JOB DONE AND THEY GET IT DONE RIGHT. I WOULD ALSO SAY THEY ARE REALLY REASONABLY PRICED FOR THE SERVICES THAT THEY PROVIDE.

THEY DID A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB OF CLEANING OUR CARPETING. EVERYTHING LOOKED GREAT AFTER THEY WERE DONE. THEY WERE RECOMMENDED TO ME BY A FRIEND WHO SAID THAT THEY ALWAYS DID A GOOD JOB.

THEY DID A EXCELLENT JOB ON MY CARPET. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HONEST. THEY MADE SURE THAT THE CARPETS LOOKED GOOD AND THAT THEY GOT ALL THE CORNERS OF THE ROOMS.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK. THE CARPETS LOOK GREAT. THEY WERE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FRIENDLY. I FELT COMFORTABLE WITH THEM IN MY HOME. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB, EXCEPT THE STAIRS DON'T LOOK THAT GREAT. THE ROOMS REALLY LOOK NICE. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. THEY WERE REASONABLY PRICED, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.
