LYNN'S BEDROOM CITY SUPERSTORE

Many people have noticed all of the big box mattress stores that have popped up in our area. It almost seems like they came out of nowhere. When I was ready for a new mattress I did my due diligence and shopped around. Everywhere I went I found overpriced stuff and sales people too pushy and too concerned with just selling me rather than helping me find what I really needed. That is until I went into Lynn's Bedroom City. They have a far more laid back atmosphere and I could tell immediately that the emphasis was on me and not what the sales person could sell me. We went over why I'm looking for a new bed, what issues I'm having with my current one, and what personal/medical issues I may have to insure I get what works best for me. It's obvious by how that take care of their customers that they are truly family owned and operated. It was nice getting the attention and care that you would expect from a family owned place while also getting the price competitiveness and deals you expect from a big box store.

I had to exchange the original mattress. Then bought a newer mattress for 500$ more and I called to get my money back.

We went to their store in Valparaiso to buy a new mattress. We like to support local businesses whenever possible. The sales woman seemed to go out of her way to help us select the best mattress for our needs,but once we made our choice,the service went downhill.The price kept changing,but she told us that she would give us "the sale price". Then, I needed to buy a special pillow for my neck,and we were told they were on back order even though there were some in the store.We were told that she could not sell those,no reason was given as to why. Then, we were told that a mattress protector came with the mattress at no additional charge,but that it was not the best for people with allergies. So, we decided to BUY an additional mattress protector,but when our mattress was delivered,only the freebie protector was left with us.The one we bought "had been given to someone else". When we selected our mattress,we picked a FIRM one. However about two weeks after sleeping on our new mattress,we realized that our new mattress was NOT the model we had selected! So I called the store and had to leave a voice mail. A few days later, the manager returned my call. He said that Serta would exchange our mattress at no cost,but that they would have to order the one we bought. We finally got the mattress we bought,but Lynn's did not seem to happy about our complaint. The bottom line: No Service After The Sale!

Going into the purchase, I knew that the Temper-pedic mattress is on the pricey side, but due to orthopaedic problems it was the best choice for me. The salesperson explained the differences between the three styles in detail. He also accepted my request to take away my old bedding at no cost.
