Dan had done another small project for us about three years ago and we were very pleased with the work so when we decided to 'finish' our basement we contacted him. The space is almost 1000 square feet and we wanted a bedroom, full bath (there was already a 1/2 bath), office, TV room and storage space. Dan had great suggestions, things we wouldn't have thought of, and was flexible in finding solutions to some design challenges. We were very pleased with the sub-contractors he used and felt comfortable with them in the house and the work was well done. Dan and the others did everything they could to minimize the dust and noise and even sometimes used the egress window, once installed, to come and go so they wouldn't bother us. They kept the work areas as clean as possible, cleaned up every night and at the end of each week. We had no qualms giving Dan a key to the house - we've told him that we need to put him on a retainer as we already have other projects lined up for him.
The results are terrific and will add considerable value to the house and is space we'll enjoy for a long time to come.

This was a great experience! Dan had very helpful suggestions and his wife, Carol, who is a designer, provided recommendations for countertop selection and coordinated with the countertop provider. Dan arranged for all the subcontractors (plumber, electrician, etc.) and he and everyone else involved with the project were on time, kept the area clean, were pleasant to work with and efficient. Communication was timely, detailed and helpful. We give Keiter Construction our highest recommendation.

The work exceeded my satisfaction. As a former project manager for construction companies, I knew what work I needed to be done. I also knew the level of quality I wanted the work to be. Dan knows construction. He made recommendations to improve my ideas. He also recommended different types of materials to save me money. He removed two wooden screen doors that had rotted out at the bottom because of the winter snows that pile up against them. I thought I would have to replace them with another set of wooden doors. Dan suggested replacing the wooden doors with vinyl screen doors. His suggestion not only fixed my short-term problem of replacing the rotted doors, but also fix a long-term problem of my screen doors rotting out because of the winter snows. The vinyl screen doors will last much longer. I had Dan replaced a couple of fence posts that had rotted out causing the fence to sag and look unsightly. He not only removed the old fence posts, he even removed the concrete footing so he could install the new fence posts exactly where they needed to be installed. With the new concrete footing and posts, he was able to re-attach the fence without having to modify the fence sections. When he re-attached the fence sections, he also went through and straightened out sections of the fence that were sagging. Because he did a great job on straighten up the fence, I had him come back out to straighten up the arbor framing. Keiter Construction also replace our front entrance door. We love the new door. It is so much easier to open the the old one. There are many reasons I would recommend to use Keiter Construction: 1) I trust him, 2) They know what they are doing, and 3) They worked around my schedule which means I can do what I need to do instead of having to watch over them. We will be adding on a $40,000 room addition next year I will use Keiter Construction to do the work.

Excellent - very good communication between Dan Keiter and all those involved (designer, owner, and subs). Our home is in a historic designated area so they used appropriate materials. The resulting product is just great!
