Kyle was kind, and got the job done in under 45 minutes. Unfortunately the price reflected on Groupon really doesn't cover much, expect another $300-$650 worth of costs once tech is inside home. Company is great, but make sure to inquire about additional pricing when they arrive.

Everything was great. They came as scheduled and figured out there was a packed clump of wet lint blocking the vent. They went into the crawl space to get access to the area and cleaned it out. They were very agreeable about all of it.

It went horribly!!! Simon came and said he would clean dryer vent and check attic for animals. He reported he cleaned the dryer vent and found no signs of animals in the attic, dead or alive. The smell got stronger and I left a message for Simon the next night pleading for him to call and let me know when he could fit me in. He did not call me the next day and I left another message, to which he did not respond. I called another company, who came out immediately and reported my dryer piping was laying in separate pieces in the attic, and they found two big bird's nests, a huge amount of mice poop, and a huge amount of feathers. I had used Simon the previous year for our dryer not heating well, and he came and cleaned the dryer vent--I have no idea if he didn't replace the pipe at that point, or this year; I even wrote a nice review for him last year. Bottom line, it never occurred to me that I needed to climb a ladder to the attic and hoist myself up, to see if Simon had lied about not seeing signs of animals or was so unethical as to not put the pipe together and connect it from the dryer to the vent outside my house! I called and texted him multiple times asking for a refund and said I had pictures and was considering filing a omplaint with the Better Business Bureau. He has never contacted me!

"We are so sorry for this experience! Simon remembers this job as you have been a repeat customer for years prior. It was our mistake that the dryer vent was not reconnected after the cleaning - it was a miscommunication between staff as each thought the other had reconnected the vent. This had not happened in the prior years as the vent was connected when they completed the cleaning. I would like to point out that the bird's nest/feathers/feces were not inside the dryer vent and may not have been close to the dryer vent. A dryer vent cleaning does not entail an attic inspection - respectfully, that is not something that should reasonably be expected from a dryer vent cleaning. Again, the vent not being connected properly was on us. Also, Simon went through his text and phone records and only had one missed call from you after this job. No voicemails or text messages - he has also tried to call you since but has been unable to reach you to try and resolve this matter. You are more than welcome to reach out to him at anytime to discuss. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we're glad you have been able to remedy the issue!"

Simon and Sam were professional and arrived early. They kept me informed what they were doing. The dryer vent was pretty clogged and they were very thorough in getting it out! Well worth the money and will definitely have them again.

I'm very pleased with my service from The Duct Squad! Simon was responsive, punctual, and polite. He explained the services before he performed them, there were no surprise charges and he never tried to "upsell" me like so many other companies do.
