+ -1 moreI work at a hospital and we have been asked to make our own masks during this pandemic. After making a few masks my sewing machine stopped working. I called Jack and he got right back with me. He came by the house and cleaned, tuned up and repaired the machine. He would not accept any money saying this was his donation to the mask making effort. This is the kind of people we need during this health crisis. Thank you Jack Watts!

+ -1 moreGreat! We played phone tag, but when we finally connected he offered to come by that afternoon. He arrived on time, checked out the machine, went to get the replacement belt, and returned to replace it all within a few hours. He was old enough that I was confident he understood my old machine, & he didn't let me down - it runs like a dream now! I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: The belt needed to be replaced & it needed a tune-up.

+ -1 moreFirst, I must note that in Angie's List, their address is in Crawfordsville, Indiana. They come to Carmel on Fridays, at Hancock Fabrics, 1635 E.. 116th Street. They took a machine that I had only lubricated a couple of times over many years. (Montgomery Ward is gone now). I wrote a note authorizing them to replace the bobbin winder, and adjust and lubricate the machine. They were able to fix the bobbin winder, and then lubricate it and adjust it. Angies List needs to list this alternate address! I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area. They are nice to talk with, as well.

Description of Work: My industrial size U20 sewing machine was locked up and had not been operational for at least 11 years. Because of the size of the machine, I was not able to take it to him for repair. House calls are a rarity for sewing machine repair these days. Jack was able to correct the original problem, service the machine, and make additional adjustments that I had not even requested (tightening of screws on thread holder, etc). Within 1 hour everything was up and working...all for only $69.95. I truly had expected a much higher charge and would have gladly paid it. I definitely would recommend Jack to anyone needing sewing machine repair and will use his services in the future.
