CUSTOM TIME

The entire clock mechanism was disassembled and cleaned. Afterwards, the clock kept perfect time.

We just received a Grandfather Clock from my wife's family that had not run in over a decade. Bill came out to the house he, cleaned the clock, took it apart and looked it over then oiled it and put it back together. He also took the time to explain to me how the clock worked and what I need to do to keep it working. Fantastic service!

Bill is a craftsman and a professional.  He is punctual, polite and demonstrates excellent customer service.  We needed a clock moved and had no idea on the proper way to do it.  Thankfully, I contacted Bill or otherwise I would have ruined this family clock.  Within a few days of contacting him, he came to location and meticulously packaged clock for the move.  At that time I took the clock for the move.  About a week later Bill called and we met in Lafayette to setup the clock.  Bill is always on time.  He brought the clock in and removed the mechanism and serviced it.  After that, he reassembled the clock, leveled the cabinet, and got it started.  Next, he demonstrated the proper way to care for the clock and offered to send an owner's manual.  This clock has been in the family for over 20 years and it was important that it was moved properly.  If you are looking for a professional, you will not do better than Bill.

Mr. Moore cleaned and adjusted my grandfather clock approximately eight years ago when I first moved to Fishers, so I had no hesitation in calling him again to clean and repair clock. He does an excellent job, takes his time and explains in detail the care of the clock. My clock is approximately 50 years old and he has kept it in good working condition. I wouldn't let anyone else touch the clock.

We have a grandfather clock and we got a really good fellow who does that. He comes every 2 or 3 years to clean it and adjust it. His name is Bill Moore. We have used him for many years. We have used him in our other house as well. He comes once every 3 years roughly. He cleans the dust and grime out of the cables and pulleys so that it's running well. It's a reasonable amount. It takes him a couple of hours and he does a good job. He spreads out a drop cloth on the floor and brings his own work table. He sets up his work table with all his tools and everything. He vacuums and cleans up after himself. He doesn't leave any mess. He is very precise and thorough like you might expect from a clock maker. Those guys are pretty detail oriented. They drive me nuts, but they are pretty good. This guy is good. I would definitely recommend them. My recollection is that his price was very fair considering the time and attention that he gave it. He has always done good work for the lock. Although it's many years old it still works like new.

They reassembled the clock perfectly, cleaned it and reset it. It is in A-1 condition! The service provider was professional, clean, respectful, and provided detailed instructions for proper maintenance. His price was incredibly reasonable for all the time and effort he expended.

A chain holding a weight broke and came off the clock mechanism of my 35 year old grandfather clock. Bill set an appointment that was convenient for me, he was prompt and efficient. He repaired the chain and checked out the rest of the clock mechanism.

It is obvious that Bill Moore loves working with special clocks. He is truly a master craftsman. He didn't just put a clock back together. He cleaned, adjusted and reassembled it; all the time telling me about it (about the history of the mechanism, where it was made, etc). He worked with great care. I could tell he loves his work. Another small clock arrived in the same shipment, and was missing the pendulum. After he left my house, he found a pendulum for it, and he made a return trip to my house to deliver it at no additional charge.

I was amazed at how much care and personal attention he put into the clock. He also took the time to explain to us how everything worked, the history of the clock, and other very useful and interesting information. He made some suggestions for additional clean up (outside the insurance claim) that proved useful - we had not even thought of it. And, he suggested getting an appraisal, helping us to appreciate the true value of the heirloom we had acquired. His passion was passed on!
