Company came out for measurements and in a few weeks had fabricated polycarbonate covers, tapered to allow rain to run off away from house, with vents on the side panels of the cover to allow for airflow. They keep the egress window wells dry.

Tract housing built in the 1970's. Not much money and attention was paid to the crawl space entry on our '70s home when new. And time had taken its toll. The frame and door were poorly designed, and now were rusted out. Removing the old door and wrestling it back into place was a real PIA. And because of rust holes and fit, the drafts entering the crawl from the outside even with the door in place were quite noticeable, especially in winter. And, the cement block well for the entry needed to be continuously cleaned out. A source of annoying rotted leaves, branches, twigs, mown grass, etc. And a great breeding ground for insects. The wife and I decided it was time to do something about all of the above. CustomCovers was the answer. I found them on the internet at [*** Link removed ***] Their online quote process worked like a charm. Phone pictures were provided, and they followed up with a phone call that clarified the information needed to be properly prepared for the install. Yes, they travel to Bloomington. The crew arrived promptly as promised and completed the work in the time frame promised. And altho the cost may be off-putting to some, the company seems to be in line with other providers for similar products. And they do wonderful work. We now have a tight fitting, insulated crawl space door that is easy to open and close. And, no more mucking out the entry well. The well cover is esthetically pleasing, fits tight, seals well, and can be padlocked easily, as desired (hold onto your copper plumbing, folks!). The pictures on the website depict their products well. In some ways we feel the product even looks better in person. And the door and cover have withstood the ravages of mother nature and time perfectly. Great estimate and install process. Quality product perfectly installed. We have not regretted the money spent, and this has been one of the nicest upgrades we have done for our home.

I would recommend these guys to anyone!  We recently moved to Indiana and I have had no idea of whom to use for services and these guys were great.  They were on time, courteous, and the quality of their work/materials is phenomenal.  If you are looking to replace your old exterior cover, use these guys and you WONT be disappointed at all.

What an awesome company to deal with.  They came onsite measured a template needed for manufacturing.  Work was completed quickly.  They had to wait for the temperature to warm up before they installed.  Once the weather broke they were out within the week.  Product installed looks wonderful and works as promised.
they even followed up later in the week to make sure I was happy with the installation.

It went great. Windows were measured, and custom window wells made. So much better then plastic covers that I had used before.

We had two large grates covering our window wells. Unfortunately this allowed local critters (frogs, mice to fall into the window well, leading to messy cleanups. For that reason, we wanted to have the grates covered with a hard plastic.
The service was incredibly quick and easy. After sending pictures of the grates, and giving dimensions, the people at Custom Covers sent back a quote. They came out the next day to retrieve the metal grates, rivet the plastic covers to the grates, and returned them the same day. Total turnaround time was about 4 hours. Covers are easy to clean and look good.

I was in need of replacing our rusty crawl space door. Not the funnest of home projects to deal with and not really knowing where to begin I did a simple internet search and found Custom Covers and was tickled to see that they are located very near me in Lebanon, IN, and that they are also Angie's List members. Through their website I inquired about their services and sent a photograph of my crawl space access door. The owner, Todd, promptly replied to me and gave me a rough estimate on what it would cost to replace and install a new door which I found to be very reasonable. I really appreciated Todd's willingness to give me a rough idea of what it would cost b/c it then allowed me to compare, budget, and prioritize my spring and quot;to-doand quot; list. Many service providers aren't willing to do this w/o an actual service call. Local hardware stores sell steel doors and I really didn't want to deal with another door rusting or having to paint it to match the house. Oddly, a few crawl space repair companies sell wood doors which I find a bit old-fashion and just not suitable to our house. Custom Covers' doors are aluminum and I just liked their utilitarian-look and I liked the one-stop-shopping they offered. Through a few emails and after coming out to get a proper measurement of the crawl space opening we ordered the access door.
Today Todd and his assistant removed the old door and installed the new one. Believe it or not this was my first time to meet Todd face-to-face!!! He arrived on time, was very professional, efficient, quick, and neat. I am thrilled with the new door and am glad to have this small, but necessary home repair now out of the way. If you're looking for a painless and seamless transaction, I can highly recommend Todd and Custom Covers.

My experience with him was fine. He was nice and the price was right. The quality was about 7 out of 10, and so it was pretty decent.

It went well, no drama with this company. I told them what I wanted, they asked for some measurements which I gave them, and then they did what I asked for when they said they'd do it. I'm happy with the cover they put on my crawl space access well, I'd recommend them to anyone who needed this.

This company contacted me quickly after my inquiry, and gave me a quote based on some photo's I emailed them. They came out for a personal inspection and measurement and installed the door within a couple days. Their communication was fast, efficient, and friendly and the end product was just what was needed. Also they were much less expensive than other crawl space companies. I highly recommend them!

Todd, the owner of Custom Covers, Inc came out and took measurements of our window wells. We originally went to some of the ''BIG BOX'' stores, and could not find ones that we were looking for. We could only find cheap, lesser quality products. So, I gave Todd a call after searching on Angie's List, and he came out within a couple days. I contacted him via email and he got back to me very quickly. He then followed up with a quote online, and I asked him to move forward with the production. They came out, installed them, and showed me how to take them off, if necessary. Overall, I wish I would contacted him earlier, to get the window wells covered years ago.
They are made of 1/4'' Clear Pebblized Polycarbonate Material, that can withstand a person standing on them! Very durable.

We had looked at multiple options for enlarging our crawl space well which was very small. We saw the Custom Covers product at one of the local home shows in Indianapolis and liked the product design. After checking the Angie's List ratings, we contacted them for a free quote. Todd came out, looked at our situation, made a few suggestions and provided an estimate for product and installation. Based on the price and the quality, we asked him to perform the work. We scheduled the work out a few weeks to be done after some deck work needed to be completed. The work was done in one day and turned out great. We now can easily enter our crawl space and it is weather tight and sealed from any issues. Excellent product and installation.
