They ended having to remove not only the tile but a second floor.  One corner had been wet for some time and they replaced that.   The whole kitchen was stripped of everything.  They painted the walls and ceiling.  A new wood floor was put in, the strips where you have to match in a way to keep the pattern and I must say I get more compliments on my floor than anything.  The finished product was astounding.     Dave was very thorough in knowing what needed done.  He had to call an electrician to do something unforeseen.   The cabinets were put in, there was a new stripping around the window put in.  He worked with the Corian countertop men.    Made sure there were even new covers on the electrical outlets and the switches.  

From the beginning of meeting him he listened to what I wanted and provided an estimate.   Changed it for me.   He then took me to the various places to pick out the cabinets, counter, flooring, plumbing fixtures, paints, bought the dishwasher and microwave.   He and his crew were very hard working and professional.     It was completed in the timing that he gave me with the estimate as well.
He also tried to stay within my budget, yet if it was something I wanted that was more expensive he was very up front about the costs.

Overall I would say that because of him it was an excellent example of the first time I ever hired someone to do remodeling for me.  I would definitely hire him again.
