Mr. Shirley did the estimate the day I contacted him. He provided a sample product, explained its features and addressed my questions and concerns. I had a deadline to complete the installation by year-end to receive the energy tax credit and was assured he could meet it. We agreed on the price, he provided a contract and did not ask for a prepayment. The windows arrived one week earlier than expected and were installed in 2-1/2 days the week of Christmas. He called a week in advance to confirm the installation date and had all permits and materials when he arrived. The weather was cold, windy and sleeting for the entire time of installation and my home is two stories. Mr. Shirley worked on scaffolding and his assistant worked on the inside. They worked very efficiently and despite the out-of-square nature of my almost 100 year old house, he was able, by his accurate measurements, to get a good fit and seal on all 19 windows. When the job was complete, he cleaned up all work areas and hauled away the old windows and associated debris. He vinyl sided this home 8 years ago and my experience was the same - timely response, accurate measurements, cleaned up all remaining materials.
