We had a pug who unfortunately when we went home to Georgia had an accident and her eye came out of socket. The vet there in GA sewed it shut until we could get home and the swelling could go down and determine what would need to be done. The vet was terrible Unstitched the eye twice once without it being needed just to check and charged us an astronomical amount. Finally decided she needed to have the eye removed and wanted to charge us a third time for a whole new procedure AND send us to a specialist because the vet had never done anything like this before and was too scared to attempt. We went and got a second opinion and determined the eye did not need to come out it was perfectly healthy just had minimal vision. She still has her eye and is happiest dog on planet. I would never recommend this vet to anyone in town.

We rescued a stray cat in the middle of a snow storm in late March. Because he was wearing a flea collar, we took him to VCA clinic with the expectation that they could check him for microchipping or use other means to identify his owner. Unfortunately, it appeared that he had been abandoned, and had received little or no medical care in the past, even though he was 3 to 4 years old. So we undertook much-needed medical care for him. At our first visit to VCA, Dr. Hedges gave him a thorough check up, blood work, etc. He needed extensive ear mite treatment and a dental cleaning; we later had him neutered. The staff at VCA are universally well-trained, gracious, effective in explaining need for treatment and associated costs. They explain thoroughly, give detailed cost info, and let you make the decision about what medical services to have done. They are patient in answering questions and want you to be well informed before making decisions regarding your animal. Dr. Hedges also made a follow up call after surgery to check on his condition as well as scheduling a follow up appointment. The cat needed a lot of medical attention and it was costly. But as the result of his treatment there, the cat is much healthier (and happier) than he was when we found him. We would recommend VCA clinic without hesitation for any animal in need of health care.

I've used VAC Animal Hospital for 25 years. They are convenient, I'm able to get in to get an appointment, and thorough. I would absolutely recommend VAC Animal Hospital.
