It was excellent and no complaint. I would recommend them.

Terrible. I was overcharged for a job that should have been done at a fraction of the cost. The staff was rude. Absolutely no idea how they are still in business

With a failed old water heater the new unit needed a 3/4in connection. The serviceman saw what was needed. Got the parts and had it done in no time at all. Real professional job done by a real professional. Excellent work. I could not have been happier with the whole experience.

Wonderful service and understanding provided by the plumber and assistant. We tried to tackle leaky plumbing as a DIY project over the Easter weekend that turned out to be a huge disaster.... After experiencing Easter dinner with no running water to clean up dishes other than bottled water purchased at local store, I called Schomer's Plumbing to try and get assistance getting running water in my house again. The plumber and assistant arrived quickly (within an hour of my phone call) and were very understanding of the DIY disaster. They worked quickly and efficiently and even used the majority of parts we had purchased to do the project. I was never more happy to have running water again within 2 hrs of their arrival. (This project had taken us 40 hrs with no running water and with disastrous results (water spraying everywhere when the water was turned back on at the water main. Like being at Niagra Falls and needing rain gear to protect yourself from being drenched by torrents of falling water.) The plumber and his assistant seemed to understand the male ego issues associated with a failed DIY project and didn't ask many questions, just went straight to work. I learned a valuable lesson, DIY plumbing projects are a BAD IDEA! Call the experts for much better results without the inconvenience of trying to function without running water. You guessed it, I'm not much of a camper and don't want to be in my own home!

Great. They call before they come out and arrive in the specified time frame. Service was performed quickly but carefully.

They were extremely punctual, and half way through the job, the pump was missing a part. In the basement, we have battery back up system, and the primary pump was gone, so we asked the manufacturer to send a pump, and then we called them. They came in, and found out that the manufacturer forgot to send me a check valve. They gave me all the suggestions they could, but because they did not have the part, they could not finish the job. They did not charge me for the whole time they were here, they charged me only for one hour. They spent about 2 hours on site. I called the manufacturer and they sent me the part and then I called them again, then they charged me an hour. They were very understanding, and flexible with us, and that is what I liked about them, plus they did the job very well.

It went very well, they have also done repairs for us on the furnace and didn't try to sell us a new one like some others have.

We have used Schomers several times over the years and they have always been great. Most recently I needed a new hot water heater and the came right away and took care of the problem. They removed the leaking heater and replaced with a new one. Did not leave a mess and were very professional

I noticed my water heater was leaking mid week, call Schomer's. They came next afternoon and replaced with new a water heater. They were prompt and accommodating. The new water heater was installed more professionally that the one that was replaced, they left the area tidy with no mess for me to clean up. I'll continue to call them when needed.

I am not sure how this company is still in business. They do poor quality work, they overcharge for everything they do and their staff is not very friendly. Now that I am a home owner, I will never use Schomer for any of my needs

I had them install a drain for my kitchen sink. Instead of replacing the coupling to the disposal, they left a piece to short, telling me I might have problems with it. Sure enough, a month and a half later, when I first used the disposal (I grew up without one), it started spraying everywhere. I called and they weren't going to come out without charging me since it was beyond the 30 day warranty. In the end, I convinced them to come out and they charge me $16 for a part I had (and paid $2 for). Earlier this summer they busted a sewage line at the house next door and they had sewage pouring down the street for hours. Then they asked to use my hose to dilute it.

Problems resulted from mistakes made in plumbing new home. The water softener was installed with water flow in wrong direction. It was only after a few years of living with what appeared to be an inefficient water softener that the person installing a new water softener discovered the error. To this day Schomer's insists that they made no error. In fact, despite bills to the contrary they claim that they never installed the first water softener.

The plumber came to my home for the first time on a Friday and reviewed the problem. The problem was a bad seal in the water heater. The water heater was less then 6 years old as the house is new construction therefore the unit was under warranty. He said he would have a new unit for me on Monday if that was acceptable. It was was and so I asked how long it would take to complete the job. He told me it all depended on how long it took to drain the old unit however normally this job will take less then 2 hours. So it should cost me less than $150. The plumber told me, " Yes it should cost less than $150 + parts." He explained that I might need some new fittings or seals. Monday came and I got a call saying the water heater had not been delivered yet that it would be Tuesday. This was not a big deal to me as it was only leaking a small amount and some towels was catching the water without causing any damage other cleaning towels. The unit was actually installed another day later. The unit was installed in about an hour give or take 5 mins and the plumber was then on his way. A few weeks later I got a bill for over $300 more than double the original price. As it turns out I was charged for 2 guys at my house. One guy sat in the truck and my wife didn't even know he was there as she was the one home to let the plumbers in. When I called about the bill they said they have to send 2 guys out becuase it is a 66 gallon water tank (which was empty) and they need 2 guys to carry it. So they charged me double the labor for one guy to sit outside and do nothing until he is needed for 5 mins to carry the tank out? I called the plumber on this and he just told me call around thats how it is done. Needless to say I told them they need to correct the bill that this is just way to much at double the quoted price. They decided to knock of money to get the bill to $288 which is still almost double the original quote. By the way the extra materials was less than $20 to complete the job.

I had sold my neice a home that was in foreclosure (vacated but not yet auctioned). The utilities were on, but the mechanicals were not and the water & gas were off at the meters. I was having trouble getting the furnace to run when I knew the gas was on and called Schomers to see if they had someone who could help me. The had a technician there in 20 minutes and he got the water & gas turned on, the furnace running. I had shut all the water faucets off because the company who secures the foreclosures leaves them open in case of a freeze. I got them all but the water lines at the washer hook up on the 2nd floor. When I got up there water was shooting across the room and I had a small flood. I had a few paper towels with me, but Mike, the technician, had more and he even helped me wipe up the floor (not a small project). After that, he got the furnace going, the water heater filled and pilot lit. I was grateful for their quick response.

Schomer's came to replace a leaking water heater that was under warranty. Two men completed the job in 1.5 hours. When I got the bill I was charged for 8(!) hours of labor. I called to correct their mistake and was told that the job could not possibly have been done in 1.5 hours. Basically the man called me a liar. He said he would check with his men and call me back. After a couple of weeks of no response, I sent in payment for 4 hours of work (I gave them the benefit of the doubt for travel time). That got me a response. Again the man said I was lying about the time the men were at my house, and then started adding time for "diagnosing" the problem, verifying the warranty, picking up the new water heater, etc. I feel that they cheated me, knowing that it will cost me more to pursue legal action than it's worth.

The plumber arrived on time. He spent 15 minutes to evaluate the problem and remove the old part. I asked him if he wanted to use the phone to place an order for the old part and he said he would have to go to a wholesale business to order the part. He then came back and installed the old part, which was leaking before. He said the ordered part would not be in until the first of the week. After the old part was re-installed, it didn't leak. We were not given an estimate of the cost or the rates they would charge. When asked their rate, they said that they changed by the hour and were comparable to other plumbers in the area.

They came to repair/replace a toilet. They were two service man that came. One did the work and the other looked around the yard to find the sewer line shut off which wasn't needed. The problem turned out to be in the sewer line and they charged me anyway for the service. I wrote a letter to dispute the bill and they replied very rudely. They over charged for waiting time which was the only discount they would allow even though they did not fix the problem.
