RIGGS OUTDOOR POWER

Took my chainsaw in with the intent of leaving it there for diagnosis and repair.  Instead, the helpful guy at the counter took it apart on the spot (not too involved and they weren't busy first thing in the morning), showed me what was wrong, and showed me what it needed.  He said they would be happy to work on it, but it was an easy fix and suggested I could just do it myself to save some money!  Instead of making an easy buck off me, he took the time to help me out.  That's what I call great customer service.  I've been there before several times and I will definitely go back and tell others.

I brought in my Honda tiller two weeks ago to see why there was a gas leak. Rigg's had replaced the original carburetor, which had lasted 25 years, just last year. I had only used the tiller about four times since the replacement. They called back to tell me the carb needed replaced again. I asked the guy on the phone if that was normal for it to only last that long, and he said no. I really needed to get the garden in, so I had them do the repairs. When I picked up the tiller today I asked the older man at the desk if I should expect more than four tills? He stated "who knows". When I said that it was just replaced and that that didn't seem like a normal problem he said, "oh well". He said "that you can never tell with these Chinese carburetors". He said they make them so fast and so cheap. I asked him why his business would knowingly use such poorly made products. I asked why wouldn't they use quality products. He got mad at my questions. I was calm, but persistent. I paid the bill, left, and they have lost my family's business. Too bad

They were upfront and honest that they were backlogged about a week, then they let me know they'd had to order parts, one mower took about the time I expected, the other was a little long, but it was okay. They only reason I gave them a B on quality and price is that labor is still costly for the problems the mowers had, the fix was way more expensive than the parts. However, they were much more reasonable than other places I've tried. In addition, In addition, both mowers I've had work done went from running to non-running, but were still having some sputtering and don't sound as good as I'd like. However, this may be a separate issue that needs to be fixed, not the original reason I took them in, so I didn't think it was fair to fault them for that. Overall I will for sure use them again.

I also bought a new chainsaw before, and purchased other parts for my lawn mower, too! I really like their service; it's really good!
