The owner-operator came to pump my septic tank. He wasn't able to remove the lid, so he decided to leave and charge a show-up fee. First I asked if we could waive the fee if I still used him to do the work after the lid is removed by someone else. He declined to do so. Then I asked for an invoice for the fee before I paid it, he told me they aren't able to provide invoices -- "we only bill." After refusing to pay until I received an invoice, he called me a liar and threatened to place a lien on my property. After explaining to him I would not be paying without a written invoice (he wanted me to hand him cash), he called his assistant, and she emailed me an invoice within minutes. As soon as I received the invoice, I wrote him a check. He then accused me of planning to cancel the check. At that point, I told him to leave my property. Despite telling him repeatedly to leave, but he didn't make any effort to move toward his truck until I told him he was trespassing. I recommend no one ever use Payless Septic Service.

I called Paul on a Monday and he and his companion came on
Tuesday, right on time. I had seen his truck in the neighborhood before. I have
no real idea when the tank had been last pumped out, but it has to be at least
10 plus years. In his view, everything looked good. Obviously this is not a
complex task but a necessary one. He made sure there was no damage to the lawn
and as needed cleaned up after the work was done. There may be other outfits
that can do the job just as well, but Paul came across as someone who is
trustworthy and competent.

Paul and his companion arrived on time, the same day that I called. They went about the business without any complications. Paul patiently answered my questions about the layout of the system, because we were considering having a fence installed in the back yard. He also answered my questions about what to avoid putting down our drains (grease and inorganic material that won't break down). The cost was in line with what others had indicated on this web site.

The guys were on time, early in fact. They knew what they were doing and understood that I was pumping as a preventative measure. (Note: do not use CostCo Kirkland brand toilet paper in a septic system. The basement lift station had been clogged with this paper and I wanted the rest of it out of the whole system). Unfortunately, when done, they let the hose drain on the ground. They said this was and quot;normaland quot; but not from any of my previous experience. My golden retriever ran out of the house and quickly found the hose drainage. Of course, she rolled completely in the black mess. That meant a cold hose bath for the dog and time I did not have to spare. It was not a happy experience.

Mr. Wilson rearranged his schedule and was able to come the same day and pump our tank. We appreciated this because rain was expected and we were concerned if he waited until the next day and the ground was wet his truck would have left ruts.

Paul returned our frantic Saturday call quickly, and arrived promptly. When it appeared that after the service was provided we were going to have additional issues due to a broken pump, he advised calling another business to fix it rather than have to call him out again to pump again when the back up issue wasn't truly solved, thus saving us money for an additional call.

With an older home that is in need of septic drain field repair, it became urgently necessary to have our septic tank pumped out during the winter. I contacted Payless Septic Service, and they were able to come out the same day that I called. The owner (Paul) and an assistant were very professional, and ensured that our system was operating properly before leaving our site. The price was fair, and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend Payless Septic for those in need of septic tank service.

Our septic backed up. The tank could not be located and Pay Less Septic put us in contact with someone who could find it. That person was professional and was able to locate tank. Pay Less then returned and pumped out the tank.

It went well. Paul Davis is a very nice and courteous man. Called at 8:30AM and by 9:30 work was done and cleaned out. He also gave me some pointers on things to do to make it easier next time.

This contractor was punctual and courteous.

Initially we could not locate the access port of the septic tank. He was very patient in trying to find it. Ultimately we decided it was not productive to keep probing around aimlessly. He provided me with a name and phone number at the county health department. I was able to get a map of the septic system from them. He returned and found the access port very quickly.

The tank was pumped and inspected satisfactorily. I was provided with up front pricing and there were no surprises in the bill. As I was unprepared for his first trip I asked him to bill me for the extra truck roll. He added a very modest fee that probably barely covered the fuel. I expect to call them again in the future.
