Rentals - Parties, Entertainment/Parties
Because Midwest Rentals is basically split in two, I had two different experiences with them. I rented the restroom trailers from one location, and everything with that went fine. I dealt with both Dakota and Paul, and both were fine to work with and everything went off without a hitch. The trailer was delivered on time, in the location we had decided on, and was nice and clean.
I had to deal with the other location to rent chairs and staging for my outdoor ceremony. Plus I had to talk to one person for the chairs and another person for the staging. It was fairly exasperating to be passed back and forth between all the people for my one event. Also, some gave me the bridal show discount and some didn't. I had to pull a family connection to get that all straightened out.
When the guys came out the day before my wedding to deliver the chairs and staging, for some reason they put my items in the front of the truck bed but was to unload it first. So they had to unload EVERYTHING to get to my items. When they got it all unloaded, my planner saw that instead of the 8" step I had ordered for the staging (which was to be the altar), they delivered a three-step stair system that was way too tall. So to fix it they got a cinderblock from the venue owner and told us to use that. NOT acceptable. Then they left. So the venue owner very kindly built a wide, long 8" step for us to get onto the altar.
A couple days after the wedding I called Midwest and told them what had happened. The lady didn't apologize much, but she did give me credit on the charge for the stair.
