Mary Holtz and Kent Brewer

We were not easy clients, I'm sure. Our search went on for well over a year including delays (on our part) plus we were very particular in the things we wanted in a home. Mary was supportive through our entire search. She was always happy to show us a property or get us info we needed on a listing and check on comps for surrounding home sales to help us decide if a listing was priced properly. We were originally referred to Mary through my sister who had purchased two homes with Mary's help. One of the things my sister liked most about Mary was that not only did she have more experience than many realtors, but she was never afraid to point things out-even if it meant steering us away from a property. There were more than a few times we needed such guidance-where we thought we'd found the perfect home only to find out it was a money pit at best. We worried our prospects would dry up as we headed into the winter (and already a year of searching) but Mary was encouraging and pointed out how another wave of listings usually start showing up way before spring. Ironicly, only a few weeks after this conversation she'd sent us a new listing with a short note about it looking promising and that we should look at it. Mary showed it to us on a Friday. We were so reluctant to say "yes" so quickly, we called her Saturday to ask if she could show it to us again to look a little more closely at things we were picky about. Mary happily met us again at the house on Sunday. We were sure we'd found the right place so Mary started the negotiation process for us. Through the negotiations Mary pointed out things we should consider in our offers-things that saved us more money in the end (things we hadn't even considered)! We couldn't have asked for a better person to help us find a home! Mary was professional, punctual (I don't dare guess how many emails / calls we exchanged--but she was always quick to respond), knowledgable and even fun. We had so many questions during our search---sometimes I didn't even know where to go to ask certain things so I'd ask Mary. If she didn't know the answer, she'd help us work through that too. If we ever plan to move or buy again, we'll be calling Mary!
