Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory and costly experience. Two toilets were not properly installed, resulting in water leakage, 2 of the sets of faucets leaked and 1 was installed with the handles in a reversed position. The French doors were represented as "in good condition", but now we have experienced warping and bubbling on the surface which would indicate exposure to wet conditions prior to installation. Although we paid in advance (not wise) to have the old fencing removed on or about 6-1-08, it is still stacked outside the new fence. Long story short, I have paid plumbers for several repairs, I will be out about $500 for new French doors and installation, and I have been quoted a price of $200 to haul away the fencing. This guy is non responsive to my attempts to contact him because he knows he took advantage of us. The icing on the cake is the fact that he was generally contentious and argumentative while on the job, and on occasion, just plain rude and left the work site a mess. I don't expect Angie's List to contact the guy or take any other action. I am contacting you in order to make you aware that he is out there and others should be cautioned against using his services. I am an attorney and will file a complaint in small claims in an attempt to recover my damages, although I expect that he is probably judgment-proof, this type usually is.
