We hired green star to do a pretty large shadow box fence for us. They came out and quoted us in a pretty timely manner, and the fence looked good when they finished. However, a couple weeks later the screws started popping out on multiple pickets. The pickets are bowing in quite a few places because the wrong screws were used. I contacted them and was told that they would be out to replace pickets that week. Two weeks later I contacted them again because no one showed up, again no one came. I contacted them again and was once again told they would come replace pickets that week. They never showed up, so my husband went ahead and fixed it himself. Overall not impressed.

This is the second time we've hired Green Star Fencing. Obviously we were so happy with their work the first time that it was a no brainer to call them back when we needed more fencing. They came out today in the cold & rain and knocked out the job in one afternoon. Now that's what I call professionalism. Not only were they very polite & respectful but we were so impressed by how well they cleaned up afterwards, picking up any debris, hauling away dirt, sweeping our sidewalks, etc.. Years ago we'd hired them to install about 400' of privacy fence with a curved/rounded (scalloped) top. We loved it & just decided to add another 70' which was put up today. It looks awesome. This spring we'll stain it white to match the rest of our fencing.

Mark and Marty were very quick with their responses and answered all of my questions. They were able to start work on my fence earlier than expected and finished it alot sooner as well. Workers were all very kind and courteous. They also did a great job of cleaning up after the job. The fence came out great! Was very happy with it. There was a mix up with the gate and Mark immediately fixed it without any hesitation, turned out really nice.

It took approximately four months from the time that they said that they would do the job until they actually started. This was after numerous phone calls and emails that went unanswered. One of our gates was installed on the wrong side of the house, the back gate was warped, there were screws missing out of several of the slats. It’s been approximately six months since it was installed and we now have another warped gate and slats that are cracking. There were several errors which we spoke to Mark about at the time they were installing, and let them go, trying to be nice and assuming that we would get a discount for the overruns and errors and that didn’t happen. The only time they were quick to react was when it was time to pick up the final check.

The finished fence is beautiful! We are very happy with it. There was about a four-week wait to get it started, but that was a good sign that they were in high demand. It was worth the wait. They got it built quickly and cleaned up the worksite completely when they were done. We highly recommend Green Star.

I was going to try and do the fence ourselves. I’m so glad I had green star fence do the instillation. There is no Way I could have done the job as well as they performed. By far the best fence in a 5 mile radius.

After obtaining a few quotes, I hired Green Star Fence to build my privacy fence. They came out right away to measure the area and determined where I wanted the fence. The fence was built exactly as I described, and I am very pleased with the work they did. The terrain the fence was built on wasn't even, but the fence is completely level on the top and looks great.

Love the new fence. They did a great job and were really helpful and pleasant. They allowed us to make some small changes to our original plan without charge and gave us great advice about the best way to accomplish what we wanted. They also did a beautiful job cleaning up when they were finished. They even graciously came back and repaired a small accidental damage to our garage siding. Working with them was very enjoyable.

Mark and his crew arrived exactly when he said he would. They were very professional, polite, tidy and steady at their work. They inspect every piece of lumber and reject it if it's not right! They did a great job, and it looks fantastic. This was no small job, and required careful planning and measurement to install properly. Mark and his workers were very careful and detailed. We also made a number of changes that required adjustments and Mark was very patient throughout. My only advice for them is to respond to emails and texts just a little faster, other than that minor concern, I would hire then again in a heartbeat.

Mark and his team quickly removed all of the old fence and hauled it all away and cleaned it all up. They custom built all of the fence with lattice along the top. This included complex diagonal sections. Everything was expertly done with only the best components. All the lattice panels match up perfectly due to their attention to detail. Mark was flexible and able to adapt to changes we requested. The four gates were custom made to fit each entrance.

We recently had a shadowbox fence installed by Green Star. Mark and Marty were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were on time and even finished the fence a day earlier than expected. We are very pleased with the finished product. I would highly recommend them again!

The fence looks wonderful and the work was done timely! But when our irrigation company came this spring to turn on our irrigation system, they discovered that 2 of the water pipes had been cut in two and the corresponding electrical wires also cut on the east side of our house. When we asked Greenstar what their policy was on repairing damage to a customer's irrigation system their response was (copied from their email to me): "We are not liable for any lines that the Utilities do not mark, which is irrigation and electrical wires that go with irrigation. They is private owned lines. If we knew that there was irrigation and electric the home owner should point this out to us. We pulled out all old post and put knew back in the same hole. On the east side we did not see any wires or irrigation pipes in the holes." Our mistake was to assume that the pipes and electrical wires located in/near the post holes would be obvious, and the irrigation spigots/cover plates also noticeable. We did not mark them as the utility companies did. Unfortunately, the irrigation repairs cost us $469 with an estimate of another $160 if we want all zones operational. So if you choose this company and have an irrigation system, be sure to carefully mark your lines.

"First of all this fence was not a split rail fence. The fence was a 4' High Picket Fence that had been there for 20 years. There was repairs recently done by previous homeowners sons before home was sold to you. More that likely damage was done at that time. We report any lines hit and there were no lines showing that were hit. Utilities company DO NOT MARK private irrigation and electrical lines, so there were not makings showing lines being run. And how do you as a new homeowner know if the irrigation was in working order do to purchasing it in the winter time. And yes, if you have other private lines like irrigtation system, and electrical lines please do let the fence company know you have private lines. So no, we are not responsible for the cost of repairs in the amount of $629.00 do to homeowners failure to report the lines to the Fence Company. And not knowing who hit the lines. Quality - Is there a problems with the fence. Please let us know if there is a problem, we will take care of it. Professionalism - Quote you said "The fence looks great and done in a timely manner"."

Excellent company! Mark and Marty are great! They didn't mind driving to our home on more than one occasion to take measurements for our fence after we changed our minds a few times and had a few HOA issues to resolve before coming to install our fence! Mark and his team are efficient and get the job done! Our fence came out better than we expected! They are a wonderful company and highly recommended.

Mark and Marty were helpful and patient while I navigated the regulations of the Homeowners' Association. Mark and his crew built me a beautiful fence at a reasonable price in three days. It was a pleasure to work with them and I look forward to working with them in the future on the construction of a deck. I highly recommend them not only because they did a wonderful job on the fence, but also, they showed compassion when construction was held up by some problems with the HOA. The true benefits of working with a local company with roots in the community is being able to trust people. They were not the first company I called for an estimate, but they demonstrated true concern for me as a future client at the walk-through, engaging with me about what is was I wanted specifically. While every company is working for money, I want to add that that Green Star never lost sight of the fact that they are dealing with customers who are neighbors. They were my second call for an estimate, and knowing what I know now, I should never have even considered the first company I had called at all. They respected my time. They gave me a fair and reasonable price. They did exactly what they said they would do, always keeping me informed of the process. They showed up on time, left on time, cleaned up after themselves and were friendly with my dog. They were accessible and responded immediately to my messages. That is true customer service and I will be looking to them when I'm ready for deck construction. My positive experience with this company impels me to highly recommend them. Make them your first call because there is no need to call anyone else.

The first time they put up the fence posts with no concrete and the fence wobbled. They had to come back out and redo the whole fence with concrete. The man was very nice and friendly, but not on the mark professionally. It's fine now, but it might have been better to pay a little more for a better job and get it done right the first time.

"We put up 84' of 4' High (Green welded 2x4 square light, light weight wire fence) and green T-post that you do not set in concrete. This was a very cheap material, fence that you wanted. The light weight wire fence is very hard to work with, to pull tight without bending and over stretching and make the fence look nice. We promtly came back out and tightened the fence as well as possible. We are very sorry that you did not like the product that you choose. Maybe you will learn from this that if you used a heavier gage wire, you would not have the problem with the wobbling. Now I would hope that you would reconsider on what you have graded us on and can change it. Your description of Work should be: Cheapest wire fence for dog, w/T-post. Hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!"

They started the project, again, exactly when they promised to start. The crew showed up on time every day and worked hard, finishing the project in 2-3 days. The fence looked nice, with the top at the same height despite uneven terrain. We were aware of their best-service reward when we made the contact. They are every bit as good as we thought they were.

The crew of 4 arrived on Oct. 1st and immediately went over with me exactly how I wanted the fence installed. They removed all of the old fence in the yard, taking care not to damage the neighbors' adjoining fences. The crew was courteous and in a very good mood the entire time they were on my property. Any time there was any doubt as to how I wanted anything done they came to me right away and made sure it was done to my specifications. By the end of the day all of the fence was out and the posts set. On Oct. 2nd they were back, went right to work installing the rest of the fence. They were all finished and cleaned up by 2:30. They will be back to trim one board so that I can install a shutter on the house. It was a very good experience. The fence looks fantastic.
