The good men at Butz Painting Service painted our dining room, living room, foyer, study, bedroom, and front door/surround.  They were able to work with my schedule -- I really needed the work done quickly so I could get my house on the market, and Ed worked me in as quickly as he could.  We left town for them to have total access for the interior work, and we knew the house was in good hands.  We love our home and wanted quality work, and we were very pleased.  They were thorough in sanding, patching, and caulking, and they took good care of our plaster walls and ceilings.  The work also included removing lead paint from the exterior of the house, which is a larger project than just scrape-and-paint, and they handled it professionally -- and correctly -- and also made sure they took no risks, requesting that our kids be gone during the lead paint part of the project.  I'd recommend Butz Painting Service with no hesitation to anyone looking for a quality job.  Ed is a man of integrity, and it was a pleasure working with him.

Ed and his team were great to work with. We were more than happy with the results while we were living in the house, and I know the great paint job made selling our house that much easier. If we still lived in the area we would definitely use Butz painting for all our painting needs.

This is a difficult review to write. The quality of most items was excellent. The deck was a disappointment as some of the previous stain could not be removed without sanding (a large additional cost) and the results were spotty. I contacted Ed Butz in Aug for a quote and waited 3 weeks with no response. I contacted him twice more and actually left a message asking if he wanted to do the work or should I go somewhere else due to lack of response.
I felt the cost was high.
The crew's arrival and departure times varied but with no notice to me. Were they coming at 8 am or maybe 11 am?
The end quality was good but I felt there was a lack of respect for my property. Wood was moved onto the driveway to serve as seats. Cigarette butts were left on the drive and we are non-smokers. No one asked where to rinse their paint buckets, they randomly chose spots in my yard to dump diluted paint. At times I'd see guys just chatting for 15-30 minutes.
Again, the end result was great. I was just ill at ease.

They were very responsive, had a competitive quote, gave us the personal attention we expected and the job was completed on time and to our satisfaction. Ed Butz, the owner, even took extra time to help us determine the best way to try to clean off some rust colored water stains on our shed in the backyard. We originally wanted to have Butz Paining paint the shed but he advised against it, stating it would cause more problems/upkeep in the future, if we painted. We appreciated his honesty and help in finding the right product to clean the stains off our shed.

Everything went fine, would recommend them for any job

We used Ed and his crew to paint our home. They did a great job, left no mess, were always on time.
