I was looking for a specific vehicle. I did an internet search for the vehicle and the dealership contacted me that they had the vehicle. I asked specifically if it was in deed the one with the options that I wanted and he assured me that it was and we set up an appointment to come see it. I headed over and stopped along the way to get my car washed (for trade in ) He texted me while there (10 minutes before my appointment) to let me know that my "dream car" was prepped and ready and where it was parked....I'm of course so excited..I get there and walk to the car for a peek...no leather seats....I assumed it must not be the right car because he assured me that it had the "premium package" that had heated leather seats, push button start, navigation and a few other options.....When the salesman came out all happy and ask how much I love it, I point out that the seats aren't leather (I'm not a snob, I have dogs and leather just cleans better!) and he said that they can add those....I said that it doesn't have push button start....he said, no it doesn't....and no navigation I pointed out.....
Mean while that day, the only other make and model with that premium package in all of Indiana, had been sold....I chose Lafayette because it's so much closer than Indy for me.....but in doing so, I didn't get a car that weekend....the only weekend I had off that I could go with my husband. So I'll wait until we can get another weekend off....probably in a month or so.....I will be buying my car from another dealership further away. It'll be worth the drive not to have the run around.

I was off work one day so we decided to drive 25 miles to Lafayette, IN to look at some cars we were interested in. Mr. Rohrman had, I believe, 14 dealerships in town so we decided to look at the Toyota cars. When we got their we saw a sign saying they were out at the fair grounds. So we went there and saw that they had the Honda cars there too. We met a Mr. Steve Cox [same name as an old friend of mine] who let us test drive a Corolla----too small---and a Civic---too small. So my wife and I decided that we would like to test drive the Camry and Accord and if we liked them to buy one. But when we got back to the salesman, Mr. Cox must have decided that we were some type of nut case that spent every day test driving cars so he said, "Mr. B-- why don't you come back another day when we have time to let you test drive cars all day". With that remark I apologized for wasting his time and left. [We were actually the only customer there.] Two weeks later I bought an Oldsmobile and was very happy with it. Over the last 27 years, and after purchasing about 10 cars, I can tell you that I have never been back to Mr. Rohrman's dealership's to by a car.







I guess in all fairness to the salesman I should say that the first thing he said to me was, "Where do you work?" I knew that he was only trying to find out if I had any money, so I just told him that I worked at a local factory and left out my job position and that we were going to pay cash for a car. {By the way, almost every car we have purchased has been purchased at a GM dealership, and NEVER one time have thy asked me where I worked or if I had any money. It wasn't until after we picked out a car and had agreed on a price that they asked, "How are we going to pay for this car?".}

We needed a second vehicle within a few weeks, but thought it would be difficult if not impossible, as we had recently emerged from a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. We thought we might look at some fairly late model used cars and see if we could make it happen. Mike Momberger was our sales person and spent a lot of time over several days figuring out what we needed and what we could afford. Brad Belaire was the Business Manager and secured our financing and helped us stay within our means. We were able to get a newer, better car that we thought we could and they treated us very well, even knowing that we would not be big spenders.

The Rohrman representative, Brad, was - as always - very thorough and professional and gave me a comprehensive rundown of the mechanic's assessment of the car. He answered all of my questions and was honest and straightforward. I've been bringing my cars in for many years and I trust this representative completely and wouldn't work with anyone else.

They have been excellent about sending reminders for oil changes and vehicle maintenance. They do follow up phone calls. They schedule things and are never more than 15 minutes late. Their prices are very reasonable as well.

At first I was very happy. I know I paid more than I should (the MRSP was listed about $3,000 higher than Blue Book) but I needed the car. Once a deal was agreed upon, I was told that I would have to pay an additional $300 for the security protection that the dealer put on all cars sold by his dealership. I said I didn't want it and was told by the salesperson that I had to take it. A manager got involved and I said it was a deal breaker and then I was told it was actually optional. I also wanted to purchase an accessory, but the salesperson patted my rm and said 'I will get it for you for free.' Once the car was paid for, the salesperson practically begged me to give him a high rating on the survey that the dealership would provide me with. He even called me to remind me that he needed all ratings to be a 5 (scale 1 to 5) because anything less than a 5 was unacceptable. I felt sorry for him because I had the impression he was just starting out - he was young and seemed very enthusiastic. However, no one ever explained to me how to use the equipment that came with the car (that question was in the survey) and the saleman said he would call me once my accessory (which, remember I was perfectly willing to pay for) came in. Well, after a few days, after the survey was taken and I gave him the ratings he wanted, the honeymoon was over. After a week I called about the accessory and he said it had not come in yet. After another week I called again and left a message, no call back. I called several times and was always assured that he would call me once the part came in. After a month, my husband called and was told that the salesperson would check with the parts department and call him right back. NOTHING. NO CONTACT EVER AGAIN. My husband was so angry that I was afraid he would stress out. I decided it was a lesson learned, that I would never recommend this dealership (and certainly not this salesperson) to anyone I knew and, since we planned to buy a second Honda Fit next year, these people shot themselves in the foot as far as getting our business again. I ended up ordering the part from Amazon,com (it cost less) and have moved on. I love my car, but I suggest anyone in the area who wants a Honda makes the drive to Indianapolis.

It went well. It was at the annual tent sale. The weather was very hot. The sales staff was very accomodating as they allowed several test drives without hesitation which allowed us to narrow our choice to just the car with just the right fit.
