Artisan Electric

My electric service was torn down by a downed tree and left without heat or anything else. Artisan Electric surveyed the damage and recommended repairs with a quick estimate. Work was performed on an expedited basis and I had power back in just over 4 days - amazing in view of the total damage. All work was done as listed in the estimate and there has been no further problems after power was restored. Very happy with the work done and highly recommend Artisan Electric.

This is my 2nd review for Artisan Electric. As always, they are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The installation of the lights and ceiling fans was done in a timely manner. The cost was reasonable for high quality work. They look great! The owner, Chris cares about his customers and their satisfaction. Chris is quick to respond to any concerns or questions you may have. I highly recommend this company! They have earned my loyalty!

We were so impressed with the quality of work and professionalism from the crew at Artisan. We have a historic Victorian home that needed a complete upgrade from knob and tube to modern wiring. These guys not only did an amazing job, but they were able to keep the integrity of the home. None of the original walls, floors, or ceilings were damaged. The Artisan Crew were great with communication and ALWAYS cleaned up at the end of each day. They were respectful of our time and budget. They were also very accommodating with the things we needed to add as the project progressed. I can't recommend these guys highly enough if you have historic home electrical needs. I used to have several union electricians in my family that were considered very good electricians and the workmanship of Chris and his crew reminded me of the quality of work my brother always did. They were kind, friendly and professional. I will be using them for any of my future electrical needs. Awesome company that I highly recommend.

Everyone that we have dealt with at Artisan has been wonderful, and we are very happy with their work. The estimator, Roger, was awesome. We just bought a fixer-upper and have a lot of different projects planned. He was able to keep track of everything and made recommendations that weren't based on making more money. He told us that our 100 AMP service was enough for the priority jobs and that we would only need to upgrade to 200 when/if we "finish" the basement. We were definitely more comfortable with Artisan, but the bid came in higher than another company. We decided to split up a couple small jobs to see which company we wanted to work with long-term. Artisan came THE NEXT DAY! When we tried to schedule with the other company, we never heard back. While talking to the electrician that came to do the work, he said that he really likes working for Artisan because they pay their employees well and really take care of them. I think that says a lot about a company and made us feel better about the higher price. When we had them come out to do the next set of work including installing the bathroom exhaust fan, they realized that the ducting wouldn't fit in the soffit. They had to run rigid ducting in the attic to the end of the house. Despite their cost increasing, they did not come back to us to pay for the extra supplies. Since many of the other contractors we called have basically said they don't have time for us, we were amazed that Artisan scheduled the two jobs the next day and in less than a week, respectively, from the time we said, "You're hired." The ONLY barely-negative-but-not-really thing was that the estimator arrived a couple hours earlier than expected. (Luckily, he didn't seem to care that I was still in my pajamas!) We have several more projects that we will definitely hire Artisan for!

I was pleased with the services that were provided. The electrician was professional, knowledgeable, and explained the problem. The price is a bit higher than other companies by well worth it due to the high quality of work. I would definitely recommend this company to others and plan on hiring them again for future projects!

We live in a older home and we noticed when we plugged different appliances in the lights would flicker and or dim down while using that appliance. We contacted Artisan and told them of our concern. The service team arrived on time and accessed the concern at hand. They found that particular circuit was drawing to much amperage when in use. They also checked other circuit while they were their and gave recommendations for future work. Their team installed new wiring and circuit to help with overage/amperage.During the entire process, we never felt rushed or pressured to do any additional items. I would highly recommend the team at Artisan for any of your electrical concerns. Keep up the good work!!

The estimate was reasonable.

The technician arrived on time, assessed the problem, and corrected it.  He advised the repair was only temporary and the problem may return.  We understood that.

The work area was clean when he left.

The bill was in line with the estimate.

The company was a pleasure to work with.  I would definitely use them again.

They were great. They were refered by another contractor that day. They came out within 25 minutes. They were quick and clean during the installation and that they would bill me for the service.

We began the process 8 months prior to completion. In this design phase we contacted Chris Voglund and indicated our interest in solar power. Chris and his team had installed a back up generator at our home the prior year and we were very pleased with his work at that time so it was natural for us to turn to him when we wanted to pursue a solar option. He came to our house to discuss design options and operational considerations. Once the winter weather cleared he began the installation. We were extremely pleased with the attention to detail and willingness to work with design changes on what was a rather complex job. Chris and his crew were cheerful, pleasant and professional. I could not ask for a better outcome. We are very pleased.

Chris, the owner, is awesome. Super nice, responds quickly to texts and calls, shows up when he says he will, and walks you through the needed work in a very nice manner using laymen's terms. And most important, their work is impeccable. 
Has very reasonable prices (though the price he quoted us for rewiring our chandeliers seemed a bit high, it might be worth it for the work - we haven't made up our minds on this yet). 
My favorite thing is the wonderful treatment by everyone in this company. We are getting increasingly frustrated by companies that don't seem to want our business by treating us poorly in an apathetic manner. Artisan definitely wants our business and we will continue to give it to them!

Chris called to tell me he would be a few minutes late, which was literally only a few minutes. Very considerate. He was very professional, fixed my problem and patiently answered my many questions.

The gentleman showed up on time and was very friendly and helpful.  He listened to what we were requesting before performing the task.  The job was done quickly and quietly.

We were very impressed with Artisan; they were able to complete a complex job on a short timeline. There was a risk that in order to access the old wiring for replacement holes would need to be cut in walls & ceilings - Artisan was able to temporarily remove some floorboards on the second floor and complete the entire job with no damage whatsoever.

During the first visit, two gentlemen arrived to complete the work. They were polite and on time. I had a list of questions and concerns which they addressed.

1) They looked at the electrical setup for my sump pumps to see if there was a reason they kept shutting off, in consultation with the plumber. The plumber identified the problem.
2) We discussed a problem I was having when using a hairdryer and heater in my bathroom at the same time which tripped the circuit breaker.
3) Replaced a light switch in the bedroom.
4) Replaced an outlet in the bathroom (and kindly helped me replace a lightbulb that I could not reach)

After the visit there was a delay in follow-up on a request that I had for a quote for additional work. However, as soon as the owner, Chris, was aware of my concern he contacted me and addressed all of my requests very quickly.

During their second visit:

1) They ran a new electrical line to the back of my house where I had been overloading the circuit.
2) They also inspected and replaced all of the outlets in two rooms to address some flickering lights.

This resolved my problems and I feel safe turning on my bedroom lights again. I was quite satisfied with the work and very much appreciated the responsiveness shown by the owner.
