APPLIANCE SPECIALISTS

THEY got their money ($300) and my icemaker STILL doesn't work. Started in April 2022 and its now July and my icemaker still isn't working AND they will not answer phone (ever) and will not respond to any voice mail messages I leave. Don't use unless you are want to throw your money away!!?

I was able to schedule an appointment within a couple of days. The serviceman was on time, got right to work, showed me the problem, replaced the parts, and finished the work in short order. Punctual, efficient and professional.

After checking Angie's List for a highly rated appliance repair service, I found and called Appliance Specialists to repair a freezer which frosted over and a refrigerator which was no longer cooling. Unfortunately, I called on Thursday and there were no repairmen available until Monday afternoon. We were able to keep food refrigerated for the extra days, so it was not an emergency situation. I was told what the time window would be and the repairman did arrive well within that time period. He worked quietly and efficiently. Of course, I was hoping it wouldn't cost as much as it did, but there a many items in a refrig/freezer that cost much more, so it could have been worse. If I have any future need for appliance repairs, I would definitely use Appliance Specialists in Lafayette. Thank you, Angie's List!

Earl was fantastic!! He worked quickly and thoroughly. I was blown away with his ability to diagnose and conquer the problem in a flash! He also answered all my questions and gave me some tips on washer/dryer maintenance. Definitely recommend and will call him in the future if an appliance problem arises!!

The over all visit went very well.

Appliance Specialists are very good. They get to things very quickly when they're here and let you know. They don't waste a lot of your time. They tell you upfront what your costs and everything is going to be, so there's no surprises. When you first initiate a call, usually they'll come see you within a day or two, so they're very easy to schedule.

I had ordered a part from amazon so my husband could make this
repair. He had done it once before. Due to his schedule I arranged for
Appliance Specialists to come instead. I asked the technician if he
could use the part. He said he'd prefer to use his own but would buy it
from me. Wow, didn't expect that.
As I was writing the check I
asked him about other appliances (since we were in the kitchen) He
gave me his opinion. File that away for future use.
Also, asked him if he knew of a place to donate an older fridge. He took my name and no. and passed on to his guy.

Basically took a couple of visits to figure things out completely, but it was handled very professionally and affordably.

No nonsense, nice and got it done. I will be calling them for a panel issue on my dishwasher.

I did not deal directly with the service person, but my experience with the company as a whole was positive. They did good work, provided helpful information, and the price was fair.

We first called to have the gas oven ignitor replaced and burners cleaned. Our washing machine and ice maker both failed before the technician arrived. What a week! Tim, the technician, happily assessed all three. He replaced the ignitor quickly and successfully, but recommended that I scrub the burner caps myself to save money. He ordered a part for the icemaker, and it was installed the next day w/o any additional trip charge. It was recommended that we consider replacement rather than repair of the washer and the tech made suggestions on brands and features. We were able to find another washer on sale for only slightly more than the repair estimate. I like the idea of using an independent, locally owned repair service. The tech, the owner, and the woman I spoke to on the phone were all friendly and professional. I will not hesitate to use Appliance Specialists again.

Appliance Specialists is the best appliance repair specialist in the area. Earl is the man that serviced us. He is very honest and trustworthy. If he tells you he can fix it he means it and if it doesn't need to be fixed he will tell you if it's worth the money or not. He will not take your money if it isn't worth it. I've used him for probably twenty years. He is an excellent source for dependable repair.
