Choose a professional establishment. Day 1: They broke a water line and left it spraying all over the joists and dripping from them. Crew left didn't say a word had no idea there was a problem until I turned on the kitchen sink. I had to go purchase the cap and cut the line to fix. Day 3: They broke the Refrigerators water line and it leaked out onto the floor or I would of never known. Then, I had to buy a new waterline for my fridge and replace it and of course the new line was larger. Day 5 and beyond: They came to fix stuff but never finished the job. I finished the work they left undone including buying elbows, piping and other parts and pieces. Additionally, they ran the drainage from the AC into the drain tile. Which is 50+ feet of linear tubbing away from the sump pump, so water will be sitting in the crawl space all summer. They never paid me for my labor or a single part or piece I had to purchase to fix their mistakes. The best thing was Easter when the sun came out and my family went outside and found all the cigarette butts in the grass and the mulch. Do yourself a favor and go with professional establishment I know I will.

terrible. see earlier review regarding failure to notify me of gas line puncture and leaving me in house which rose to explosion level. New complaint deals with attempt to amend written contract and try to charge me for follow up service that should be free. When Phil, who was an owner came out to check things out and give me an estimate he explained that stabilization rods would have to be checked periodically and torqued as needed in order for warranty to remain in effect. I told him I live alone and would be unable to do this. He told me that NOVA would do this and he would not leave a torquing wrench with me. He recommended yearly checks and wrote torque as needed in the proposal, contract No. 612181P, which I accepted on 6/12/18. Late last year when a NOVA employee came out to check and found all rods needed torquing he wanted to charge me $129.00, which I refused to pay. Now NOVA says they want to change contract and after next year charge me $129.00 for a visit to check if at any and every time in the future they check and don't charge. This is in spite of the fact that one of the owners also orally told me I would have free service for life because of the gas line rupture and stress of not knowing if my house would explode after I smelled gas and went outside to find their crew who went outside without notifying me that gas was coming into the house. I also had this but stopped trying to get any other adjustment due to the stress they caused me because it would to frustrating to continue. I have rejected this contract amendment and have advised NOVA of the same. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare and caused extreme stress. Gas line should not have been punctured and informing me they are amending contract to get money out of me is what this company is about. They should not be trusted. I would not have accepted the contract without the torque as needed provision. To now want to charge me to see if this is necessary is a rip off in my opinion when one of their owners told me yearly checks should be done and that is the only way to see if torquing is needed.

Work was done well and professionally. Final payment was not due until last visit to our home. Cut away drywall so it can be easily repaired. Did a great job cleaning up every time.

Very pleased with their work. They did not try to oversell and were willing to adjust work items and price during job.

Great. The did the work they quoted and it looks great. They don't leave those little tubes sticking out of the wall. They remove them and then seal the the crack for a finished look. It took three trips since we had several and after grinding the surface, a few were showing a little water penetration and could not be injected that first day. Their office always followed up the day after the appointment and set up my next appointment. They also worked around my schedule. I did have to cancel once and it took two weeks to reschedule because they are usually booked a week out, and then I only had certain days that I was available. They only require 10% down, so they don't ask for the rest until the job is completed. I highly recommend them if you can afford to have it done right. They do cost a little more, but I've never seen injected walls look this good when the process was done. Also, their warranty cover water penetration at all injection sites for the life of the structure, regardless of ownership...can't beat that.

Diagnosed problem and recommended a solution. They were in and out in a few hours, leaving place clean. We haven't had any super downpours since they did the work, but I believe they solved the problem. They also replaced our old sump pump.

It went extremely well. Nova Basement sent someone out who assessed our problem and proposed a solution. The work was done within one day and we haven't had a leak since. A month after the work was done, our area had the heaviest 24-hour rainfall on record. Our basement stayed bone-dry.

From the day Mike arrived at my home to give an estimate to the day of completion, it was a very satisfying experience. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and did not try to sell me a service I did not need. As the owner of a 90+ year old home, I have been given many, many estimates over the years for work I was told was 'critical'. I found out later that much was not needed. What I did need was waterproofing. The initial contract was signed for the waterproofing and encapsulation of the coal room and as the project was in progress I added more services. The three-man crew arrived on Monday, October 12th and completed on Friday, October 16th. We were expecting massive dust and taped every vent, door, etc. leading to the main floor. It was not necessary, as the crew used equipment to minimize the dust. I believe the price was reasonable and am ecstatic to have a dry basement with a warranty!

I had purchased this house with a contingency that the sellers pay for this service to be done from NOVA as I have heard and read great things about them.
So, it didn't technically cost me anything although it was negotiated into the price of the house so it technically did.
They showed up exactly when they said they would and there was one technician who did the work. He was very nice and friendly and did a great job.  He was here for about 5 hours (8-1) and there was never any nasty smell or dust so i was impressed with that even though he had to sand the cement walls to get get the supports to adhere.
He cleaned up well and showed me what he did. The biggest issue I have is that they really don't complete the job. Sure the reinforcements are up and doing their job. The technician said that I needed to remove the plastic over the reinforcements in a day or two and that I needed to watch out because there might be really sharp edges and I should sand them down. He also explained that I needed to remove the excess epoxy from the reinforcements with a screw driver and they will come off 'no problem' and that when I'm ready to paint the walls I'll need to sand paper the areas he worked on but not too much. For $3k I thought they would make them 'ready to paint' and that I wouldn't have to worry about cutting myself or my animals cutting themselves on them. Finally, he had to move my stairs slightly away from the wall. They didn't get moved back and he said I could just push on them (or kick them) to move them back. Again, not what I expect to do after a contractor completes their work.
Overall, the warranty, price and service was great but the follow through was a little disappointing. I'm send in my questionnaire next week and see if they respond to any of these concerns.

"[Member name removed], thank you for taking the time to not only rate our company, but to share your honest feedback. We will be calling you to schedule a follow up appointment if needed, but I did want to address your concerns here as well. The technician was unable to move your carpeted stairs back due to the epoxy being wet and he didn't want it to get on your carpet. Likewise, he wasn't unable to clean up the excess because it hadn't set by the time he was done with the install. For customers like yourself who want to paint their Fortress all they usually have to do is pull the plastic off like a band-aid and rough the surface so the paint will adhere. I apologize if you feel that we left the job unfinished, but I assure you will we return and take care of the issues that you are concerned with."

Install went fine.  There service after the install stinks.  They do not return calls.  I am having a problem with the battery backup system, it keep emitting a high pitched sound.  I called and left a message for their telephone service and for 10 hours I have not received a call back.

"[Member name removed]- I apologize that you are unhappy with our company, however, I feel that I need to clarify that your calls came in after hours and over the weekend. Our company does not, and never has, offered 24 hour emergency service, however, we did have a technician call you back on Saturday."

They knew what they were doing and they did a good job but it was very messy. There was a lot of dust all over the house. They are a very well known company. A lot of people get them. They are very professional and great workers. We have no water in our basement. I knew there was going to be dust because they had to use a jack hammer to break up the cement in the basement to get to where they needed to put in the drainage tiles but I had no idea there would be dust everywhere. I'm still cleaning the dust up. They were here right when they were supposed to be.
