Technicians name was Jim. It went perfect. Because we have a Whirlpool gas water heater we had to order the warranty

I called on Monday:he was here on Tuesday. He was prompt, pleasant and left the areas clean. I'm not sure I ever said that about a plumber. Currently there is a discount for cash.

I called H & G Plumbing on a Sunday morning because the toilet in the house we rent to our daughter was plugged up and not working. The person who answered the phone was very pleasant and said they would send someone out right away.
The lady plumber arrived promptly and quickly found the problem, a rubber duck which our daughter's toddler had flushed down the toilet. My daughter was extremely happy with the the speed of service and the lady plumber which the company sent out. I will definitely call this company again for any future problems. I thought the price was very reasonable for a weekend emergency call.

We initially smelled gas leaking in our basement after a hot water tank had been installed. We called the utility company who came out, tested gas lines and said we needed three new gas valves. The utility company then completely shut off all gas to the house. The heating company came right out on the next day and replaced one valve, one termination valve (to the dryer since we don't have a gas dryer) and some screw on the boiler valve. They did not replace that valve initially. They thought they were done, but the utility company would not turn gas back on until a pressure test was done on the gas lines. They had to come back to perform the pressure test and one of the gas lines failed. They determined that new gas piping was necessary from the hot water tank. The heating company then sent out an estimator to let us know what it was going to cost. After the estimate was complete, an appointment was made for them to come back to replace that line and to retest the pressure. Once that test was successful, the utility company was called to turn gas back on.
Our first mistake was involving the utility company. All of this could have probably been avoided if their representative had just tightened a couple of joints. But by dismantling the gas lines and insisting on the pressure tests, more expense was created. In the end all three lines received new valves and one line had piping replaced.

My experience with H&G Plumbing & Heating is always very good. They’re very reliable and their service is really good. Their punctual, when they say they’ll be there they will. They know our furnace and we had some big repairs they had to do. We were on vacation once, my daughter in law called them and they took care of it. They’re expensive just like everybody else.

Fixed a leaking toilet which required installing a new sub-flange. Work took about 2 hours and was professionally done. He cleaned up afterwards and adjusted the tank and seat. This was a problem I had tried to fix three times myself. So far his fix seems to be working.

The furnace proved to be very good, but their electrician put in the wrong type of outlet for the dryer, so I have to get that done again, and it is holding up all kinds of work in my house. They also never showed me how to use the water heater, so I have to call them back again for that also.

I was driving down the road and saw one of their trucks near our neighbor's house. I thought that I would give them a call because I did not know who to call out here. I figured that if the neighbors were using them then they must be worth something. I then looked up their phone number in the phone book. They did quite a bit and were here for five hours. They had to go out through the workshop and put the vents so that my husband would not die of carbon monoxide poisoning. I did a comparison and somebody else wanted $2250 to do the same job. So, I saved some money there. I will definitely use them again in the future.
