Requested a summer check up of the AC on a Trane system that was working fine. Within 45 minutes of the technician "Tuning Up' our system the unit was completely inoperable. The "Nest" thermostat was know stating the wiring of the thermostat was incorrect. The blower motor would not start. The technician still requested I pay the $64.00 for the "Tune Up" and left with the system now totally inoperable. I am not sure if this was something done by the technician by accident or on purpose to try and get a replacement contract for the system which was quoted at $8,500.00 to $10,000.

Amazing. The workers are friendly and personable. They do great work, and they only use top notch brands (like Lennox). They price things with a flat rate per job, which means you know exactly how much it will cost before the do the job. I have found them to be ethical and plan to continue to do business with them in the future.

The technician said the coils had a slight leak. He said there was oil on his finger. I didn't really see any when he showed me. He showed me where he got the oil and I touched the same spot. I didn't feel any oil. He took out the air filter and said the 3x16x25 filter I was using seemed very heavy for my system. He took out the air filter and went outside to check the R22 level. He said the R22 was about 1/2 pound low. He said he couldn't add R22 to the system since it had a leak. He would need manager approval to add the R22. He said since the air conditioner lines hadn't started to frost up after 10 minutes. The air flow is the problem. He said I should buy a fiberglass filter at Walmart that is 1x16x25. That will fix my problem. I bought the air filter and put it in. I did this around 9:45 pm. I turned the thermostat to the air conditioner setting. I checked the air conditioner lines the next morning around 5:30 am. The lines had frost on them. The technician talked with such confidence and authority. I now believe it was just arrogance. I will not use Summers again. They did not fix my problem.

Summers of Kokomo, Inc. do a good job. He's a nice guy. He explained things to me. We just moved into this house and somebody had put the wrong sized filter in and he was showing me what to do. They're reliable and reputable.

The tech, Zach, came to do my yearly inspection. I already knew he'd mention the water heater as puddles had recently been forming under it. Since I didn't want a flooded basement I was ready to make a purchase. He gave me options and I opted for the new tankless water heater with a longer warranty that won't spring a leak and flood. This one is mounted on the wall. He laid a tarp over the carpet that was in his path, rerouted the water and gas lines to make it a wonderful fit, and also cleaned up the mess. All of this in one afternoon. I'm pleased.

GREAT JOB. WELL DONE. WE HAVE USED SUMMERS, BROWNSBURG LOCATION, FOR HEATING, COOLING AND PLUMBING MULTIPLE TIMES. WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HAPPY WITH ALL OF THEIR WORK. THEY ARE VERY PROMPT AND FRIENDLY AND EXPLAIN EVERYTHING THAT THEY ARE DOING.

We have used them for several things and we have had nothing but success with them. They have always been here when they said they would. They have treated us with respect and they have done nothing but good work. We have recommended them to friends. We have been very satisfied with them. The old one was not holding enough water. The new one is quiet. I would use them again.

They charged us $437.00 and we still had no heat. The only thing they wanted to do was install a new furnace. They informed us that they installed a new part but it still wasn't working and my husband was able to fix it for less than $50. However, we had to have someone else come out and tell us what the issue was. It turns out all we needed was a new thermostat.
We called Summers Plumbing Heating and Cooling again and they said they will charge us another $335 and this would temporarily fix the unit and they still wouldn't tell us what part it was they replaced and wouldn't give it back to us.

The service call went very well. Chris Dorothy was very pleasant, thorough, professional and complete. We purchased the furnace, air conditioner and water heater in February, 2011 and have been very pleased with the equipment and all of the service men have been great. We would highly recommend Summers to anyone needing any service on current equipment or purchasing new equipment.
