Lowe's installed new flooring in my kitchen, laundry room and a small bath. The flooring was not premium quality, but it was what I could afford and it looks beautiful when installed. The installers did an excellent job, even in some tight spaces around furnace, hot water heater, etc. I absolutely love the job they did and would not hesitate to use them again for flooring.
I also had Lowe's put in a tile backsplash over my kitchen sink and under some cabinets. The tile I chose at Lowe's was difficult to handle because it splintered like slate. The individual little square tiles fell apart in some cases, especially when the workmen tried to cut them to fit. For the most part, the job looks good, except right over the sink where it looks a little random; in a couple of places there is no tile, just grout. I don't plan to make an issue of it with Lowe's, but I would warn others to ask first about how a particular tile will install. Ask if the workers have experience with the material and how it has turned out. I love the overall look of the tile I picked, but am a little disappointed with the appearance of it in a couple of spots. I will definitely ask a lot more questions next time.
Lowe's does an outstanding job of following up with customers after a job to check on satisfaction. Some people might not want to be contacted after the job is done, but I reallly appreciate it.
Another plus for Lowe's is that they offered a promotion and I was able to finance the home improvements with 180 days same-as-cash. In the end, it's a really good deal. I probably would not have initiated this home improvement project without those terms. I am very pleased with my interaction with Lowe's.
