We took him to small claims court, but he didn't show. We received a letter from the lawyer who was to represent him stating they wanted to be removed from his case. As soon as that was granted, he filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. e needs to go to jail.
Description of Work: Kenny was supposed to completely remodel our master bath. He got the lowest qualified people to come and tear down walls, take out vanity, huge mirror, toilet, whirlpool tub and shower. They left a mess, damaged our adjoining wall, utility room ceiling on first floor below master bath had water imprint because water was not caught when taking out sinks. No bucket was used and water was standing after they left. Our entry way wood floor was covered with carpet self-adhesive film that took off most of the finish and now that has to be resanded. Kenny told us initially that he would be responsible for any damages his people did. We were strung along, gave two payments to Kenny and after countless missed appointments and days later finally hearing from Kenny, after we called, at all, we gave up trying to work with him. So much time passed and nothing constructive to show for it. He is just a scam artist with no skills and a big ego. His word means nothing. He is not a responsible, mature individual.

When Kenny finally showed up to inspect the work, he seemed shocked at the many mistakes. We gave him the option of walking away, but he assured us that he wanted to make it right, and would fix and finish everything himself over the next week. He did 2 hours of work and then called a few times with excuses and promises. We did not hear from him until over 2 weeks later when he wanted his tools for another job he was starting. He offered to work at our house later the next week, but by this time it has been over a month since he started our 4 day framing project. We told him no thanks. Almost every wall had to be pulled down, taken apart, and re-framed by someone else. Kenny Robbins was never on time, and did nothing he promised. We tired to be cooperative and work with him when problems developed. He commented on how good we were being about things, but in the end he must have seen it as license to make our job his lowest priority.
Description of Work: We hired Kenny to frame our basement. He told us in writing that he and a helper would do the work in 4 days. He sent 2 guys to do the work instead. After a week they were only half done, and there were many mistakes; door openings too short for standard doors, studs not 16 on center across long walls, many walls too short and not shimmed leaving a large gap between stud and top plate, some walls too tall and forced in by smashing the floor joist above, many suds were leaning (nailed to wrong side of line), scraps were pieced together to make studs when lumber ran short, base plates were removed from the doorways when the walls had not been attached to the concrete floors, making it difficult to later attach them and maintain alignment. I made several calls to Kenny to alert him to the problems. The 2 workers asked us for money, because they had not been paid and the job was bigger than they were told.
