Unfortunately our experience working with Billy Fields Jr. of Fields Home Improvement was far from a professional experience. The flooring they installed has a few areas where the gaps against the walls are 1" or larger - they claimed trim would cover. Since they did not install the trim as hired to do we put back the old trim and it does not cover those gaps. The 12x12 granite tile countertops they installed have bad spots over a majority of the tiles they laid and the tiles are uneven. They broke off a section while installing the kitchen sink and never repaired that section. All the tile shops we spoke with told us that a professional would know with granite you need to sort through the tiles prior to installation. The are so bad we are now going to have to pay someone to remove the countertops and redo. When we started to express how unhappy we were with their work in July 2018 they cleaned out our garage of all their materials including the left over flooring we bought. Twice I had to request that flooring be returned to us. We expressed again mid August how unhappy we were with the quality of work and progress and Billy Fields became very rude with me. Since then he is no longer answering phone calls, texts or emails so at this point we assume he has no intention of correcting the flawed work or finishing the project - which is ok since we would no longer welcome this crew back into our home. The estimate was for over $10,000 which we were ok with if we received professional quality work done. We paid $6000.00 back in March - work did not start until end of June and since mid August they have not returned to finish or fix any of the work as promised.
