I am already having water damage with them. Condensation is leaking down behind the wood on the bottom of the glass and then leaking out through a crack and causing water damage on some of the panes. David claims that it's just the moisture in my house and not any defect with the windows. . With some of the panes, the condensation is not leaking through the crack, but on other panes it is. Even if the condensation is coming from the inside, it should not be causing this much water damage only on some of the panes. They told me last Friday they would be out to look at it and would call between 3 and 4pm, but nobody ever called. Then I get an email from David at 11pm saying they got stuck on a job. I waited for 3 hours, because I thought they were coming to look at the windows. They couldn't even give me the common courtesy to call and say they weren't going to make it. Then I guess he decided he wasn't even going to look at them anymore and said it's all because of the moisture in my home. My old windows were in really bad shape and I had just as much condensation then as I do now and they did not even leak like this. I have a back door I am looking to get repaired, but I will definitely not be using Wood Doctors again.
"(deleted member name) of 7613 Locust Lane in Crestwood Kentucky brought antique furniture to our shop on September of 2012. She was provided a written quote to which she agreed to the work described. She then signed and dated Contract September 19, 2012 She did not have any money to pay for the work and expressed to me that she did not have any funds to pay for several months and requested a payment plan for a loan to repair her antiques. I informed her we did not extend credit and that we would wait for the $400.00 down payment before starting work since she had no money to pay a down payment at the time of signing contract. We only asked her for a small amount down to start the work of $2541.50. Notations on her contract show that (deleted member name) called on 09-21-2012 to cancel the Antique bed modification and restoration but requested us to continue with antique sofa leg repair. She sent a deposit of $400.00 on October 12 and we then proceeded to work on her antique sofa. As noted on her contract this sofa leg had been broken and 3 other shops had worked on it and all their repairs had failed. We contacted (deleted member name) in mid June 2013 to ask if the repair was Satisfactory and had held up. Her response was that it was a “good repair”. She stated that I was “rude and unyielding” Being rude is an untruth. Unyielding is true for I do not extend credit and she demanded that I should work for her and then take payments for several months. She stated that: “he had written a very underhanded, concealed small print clause that I still owed more money on completion “. This is also an untruth. All charges were clearly identified in bold type and itemized on her signed contract. She stated that: “he underhandedly pointed out that he had deducted additional money on the repair of the couch leg” This is an untruth No additional charges were billed for the sofa leg repair and her final repair costs of $ 373.75 were as quoted on the signed contract. Her refund was $26.25. She stated that she had a 750 credit rating score were irrelevant. Her overbearing and forceful demands for us to extend credit did not make us have an elevated opinion over her. That is just our policy. She also stated “There are too many people that will take you for your money...just like he tried to do me.“ This is also another untruth hardly worth mentioning. We believe that we are competitively price. This job was difficult as to the nature of the failed repairs by 3 other shops who had worked on this same leg. If we were over priced several times more than anyone else (deleted member name) a very intelligent person would never have had us do the work. We do not believe in forcing our customers with high pressure sales techniques. She has a free will as anyone. Our product is “service” and our “professional workmanship” sells itself. We gave her a timely repair and a professional nearly invisible repair that lasts. We strive to please every customer with giving the best workmanship available and our work is 100% guaranteed. We believe (deleted member name) has stated many unsupported untruths in her reporting and that we appreciate the opportunity to respond to these untruths. If anyone wants to view photos of our work and her contract, we invite inspection. We have thousands of Signed "100% Satisfied" customers on file and for a portion of those making any good and bad comments come see our reviews at www.WoodDoctors.com"
