PORTER'S CONCRETE

A timely estimate was given, and work was started and completed promptly, all in a single day. Mr. Gramlin worked swiftly, in extreme summer heat, and was very polite in his communications with me. Since he appears to work for himself, he did need to bring in his brother to assist, in order to get the preparatory work completed in time for the cement truck to arrive (which he pre-scheduled), therefore, I wonder if he was rushed during part of the work. I am mostly satisfied with the work, except that the sidewalk slopes to one side more than I would like. Perhaps that it was done purposely to prevent standing water on the concrete when it rains, but in my opinion, it slopes too much. There's not much of a fix to the problem other than to tear up the sidewalk and have it redone again. The slant is not bad enough to go to this extreme, but I still notice it every time I look at it. Finally, he did not replace the grass clumps that he dug up along both sides of the walk.
