Went very well.  Provider's representative was very knowledgeable, helpful and thorough.  He made sure all of our systems were working and that we understood their operation before he left.

My house had recently been broken into so l had been waiting for 7 days for the actual installation in Feb 2012.  When the installers actually showed up they turned out to be lazy and unprofessional.  Halfway through the installation they informed me that they needed to find another way to get the wires from the sensors to the panel because they did not want to have to get in the cellar and crawl space to run them as the sales person had told me would be done.  They suggested surface mounting the wires in the rooms or on the outside of the house to get to the panel and I strongly told them that was not acceptable because it was aestheticly unacceptable and a security risk because the wires could be cut to disconnect the sensors.  I, the homeowner, ended up having to get in the crawl space to pull the wires.   After the installation Hawkeye gave Monitronics a different password than was written on the original contract in my possession so that Monitronics refused to cancel a false alarm and sent the police anyway.  It took days for the Hawkeye office to be open again and several hours of phone calls to finally get it straightened out.  
Hawkeye wants you to give them a lot of money up front and then not have to be around to take care of problems.
After more problems with monitronics as the monitoring contractor in December 2014, they refused to intercede and contact monitronics to correct problems, " we don't use them now because we have had problems, we have started using a different monitoring company".   THANKS A LOT
Bottom line, don't use Hawkeye and definitely don't use monitronics for monitoring.

Hawkeye Security representative was on time, did a very professional job installing the security system, and explaining how the system works. I really appreciated the installer slipping his shoes off before he came into the house. Very happy with the product also.

Even though they were not the cheapest of the estimates I got, I felt it provided the best coverage for our property. They were also not the most expensive. They listened to my wants and needs and provided the best solution. Did not try and oversell the protection we needed. A few issues came up but they responded quickly to resolve them for us. I would recommend them to anyone needing services they provide. Since they came back and did the corrections I gave them A and the last time I spoke to the owner he wanted to know if we were happy. One thing my wife had them do and I would have done differently had I been home to tell them, he said he would come out and change to suit me.

From no-pressure sales to prompt and courteous install, Hawkeye outfitted my new house with their latest touchscreen alarm panel. Free app also allows me to control my alarm in or away from home. Highly recommend!

They are a local company and do nice work.  They always do well and have reasonable rates.  They really satisfy their customers.

They proceeded to bill me for the speakers and their installation when their quote said that installation was included in the price of the speakers. They billed me and charged interest on products not delivered. They charged me $65 to plug in 2 red/white audio plugs for my own speakers, which they never touched, much less hooked up. They charged me $124.00 for and HDMI cord that I know was installed by the previous contractor. Matt looked at it, and he assured me it was one that Hawkeye installed. We went around on this several times. I looked it up and the cord in my wall is clearly not the cord they specified. They also upped the price on speakers from estimate to invoice by $25.00. I replied to an e-mail from them, requesting clarification of the invoice. No reply came. I am having very little luck at getting them to go over the bill with me. I am really angry and feel they have tried to take advantage of me. They have been very unprofessional.

After several unsuccessful attempts at reaching other security companies we reached Hawkeye on the first phone call and talked to Sarah Drexler. She set up an appointment within the next couple of days for Matt Drexler to come out. Matt arrived on time and quickly figured out our old, out-dated system. He wrote an estimate on the spot and set up the new installation to coincide with workers putting in a couple of new entry doors. Alan and Joe arrived on the day scheduled for installation. They worked efficiently. Matt came at the end of the installation to make sure everything was working properly. We were pleased with everyone's work.

Although it took a couple of days for them to call back to schedule a time, after they said that they would call back same-day, they did finally arrange a service visit. They arrived and did what I needed them to do, 100%. Although it only took approximately 5 minutes, I still paid $65 for the entire hour (service visit), which I am completely fine with, since I was buying not only their time, but their knowledge/expertise. They definitely knew all about the type of alarm system that I have, and I was extremely impressed with their abilities. I would definitely recommend this company again!
