Serving the Louisville, Kentucky Metro area and surrounding counties of Kentucky and Southern Indiana, Faithful Companions has become the premier pet cremation service for veterinarians and private pet owners. Using the knowledge and care developed in operating a funeral home since 1930, the same loving care is given to pet owners. Since Faithful Companions Pet Cremation Services is affiliated with Scott Funeral Homes, the same family of licensed personnel perform all services at the facilities. Our services are timely, personal, and individualized to the owner's wishes. We will pick up from your home or veterinarian's office and will have the remains available to you within 24 business hours. All pets under our care are treated with respect and dignity. Each pet is recorded immediately, with our numerical Faithful ID System being our pledge to owners that the cremains returned to them are absolutely and positively identifiable as their pet. Each pet will have a number given to them that corresponds with their tag and the number on the cremation certificate that is returned to the family. Faithful Companions offers a modern, state of the art, clean facility to cremate your pet. The process is completed by a member of our experienced staff, who is there throughout the entire process to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. Faithful Companions offers three options: Private - Your pet is cremated by itself and the remains are given to you in a temporary container that you may upgrade to a decorative urn or keepsake if you prefer. Pets are picked up from Vet or residence and ashes returned to same. Services start at $130.00. Individual - Your pet is cremated in an individual container alongside one other pet in their own individual container. This insures that cremains will not be mixed. The pets go through the cremation process at the same time. Cremains are returned to you in a temporary container that you may upgrade if desired. Pets are picked up from Vet or residence and ashes returned to same. Services start at $110.00. Group - Your pet is cremated alongside other pets and the cremains are non-returnable. Pets must be delivered to crematory. Service price is $30.00.

As a part of her service, Dr. Bennett took Max's body to Faithful Companion's Pet Cremation Service. A few days later, his ashes were returned to us in a beautiful carved wood box along with a certificate of cremation, a clipping of his fur and a stamp of his paw print.
As Dr. Bennett charges $400 for this complete service, I'm not sure how much the actual cremation is. The one thing I do know is that both the services of Dr. B. and the beautiful way Max's ashes were packaged for return to us made it worth every cent.
I would definitely refer both Dr. Courtney Bennett and Faithful Companions Pet Cremation to any one with furry family members.
The transport fee back was a little high, but it was the best we could work out....that is not included in the price I listed.
Overall, it went as well as it could...
