TERRY'S AUTO SVC

I took a new used car purchase to them to be evaluated.  I wanted to have the breaks looked at, engine compression checked and power steering looked at, because it was making a whining noise.  He told me it would be $45 to check it out.  When I called to see if it was ready, he told me that it all checked out, but that I needed to put in some power steering fluid because it was low, but they had not added any.  I asked what the compression tested to be, and he said he had not written it down, but it was OK.  I picked up the car and took it home.  I went to replace the plugs and wires, and found that the plugs were fused in the engine.  There was no way he had tested the compression!  I opened the power steering reservoir and found it to be full, but the car still had the whine when the wheel was turned.  When taking off the wheels, because at this point it was obvious that he had not done what he said he did, I found that a ball joint boot had no grease and was ruptured.  Basically, I paid this guy to park my car on his lot for a few days.  Not sure if he thought he would get away with this because I was a girl or what.  What a jerk!  Just goes to show how it is hard to find a trustworthy mechanic!
