Called for service on our disposal. The tech arrived as scheduled. He pushed the reset button on the disposal, which I had already done. Nothing happened, so he went to his truck to get tools. He returned with brochures an tried to sell me a new disposal. I declined. He left. The disposal was not working and he had barely touched it. A few days later, my son pulled the unit out and power washed it. It now runs nicely.

We needed an inducer motor on our furnace repaired and made clear that we weren’t ready to buy a new system. The tech from Williams was only interested in repeating over and over how old our system was, and how we should just replace it. He told us that he wasn’t even sure he could get a replacement part. Eventually he told us that he could fix it, but it would be around $1100 and the part would take about a week to come in. Available information online said the part replacement should be in the range of $400-600. We felt the service was overpriced, but had to pay $98 for a service call that did nothing but confirm what I already knew. We called another company the next morning who was able to obtain the part same day and install it in under an hour for hundreds less, showed up on time, and didn’t try to scare us into immediately buying a whole new system.

First, would like to clarify, everyone that came to my home or I spoke with on the phone were very kind and punctual. All, except the initial sales guy, were professional and tried to be helpful to the underlying problem which was lack of effort from the initial sales guy and no response from management to my complaint, which I requested a call back. The problem with the initial sales guy is that he made us feel rushed and like we had no options. We are slightly credit challenged so we were concerned that we may not get approved. We got approved for way over what we needed for the furnace and HVAC system so we asked about getting a water heater as well. He way overestimated the price to us for the water heater and we felt like it was because he didn't want to "re-write" the order because he had "completed" the transaction. He gave us NO options for furnace and HVAC even though we were approved for way more than we needed, so we have the smallest systems allowable for our house. He told us for a new water heater it would be $6,000 and their plumbing department wasn't the best. In addition, before he completed the order I showed him the add that a free duct cleaning was supposed to be included and he said he would add it on but never did. I had to make repeated calls for 3 weeks to get it added on and scheduled. When we called the loan company to see if we could get the water heater added on they said it was too late because they had already closed out the transaction with Williams so I reached out to Williams to talk to a manager about the issue and still have yet to hear from a manager and my initial call for a manager has been around 6 weeks ago. I have called at least 5 times. On about my third time calling to request a return call from a manager, the customer service person told me the manager responded to them (but still didn't call me as requested) and requested they call me to schedule a visit from a plumbing sales person to give us an estimate on a water heater because they think they can still get it added on to the loan, so we had someone from their plumbing department come out and give us an estimate and the water heater would have been around $3,000, not $6,000 like we were originally told to discourage us from requesting it to be added on. I explained the situation to the guy who came out to do the estimate for the water heater and he reached out to managers in two different departments and I still have not heard from a manager. The very first guy who came out told us they were the biggest company in Indianapolis, so I guess that is why their management can just ignore customers requests for a call and they are still in business. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

The installation was faster than I had expected for removing the old water heater and replacing some older plumbing before installing the new one. I had two different service calls and both times they were on time, cleaned up after themselves and were very professional and friendly. I feel like the cost of the replacement water heater was high but most things just cost more at this time.
