I've been going there for years, and they're always nice and always knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the parts they had weren't well-suited for my garage door. I trust their opinion, so I went somewhere else for the parts.

I get the very best customer service at White's Nora Ace Hardware.  They have surpurb customer service.  I won't go to a big box store before I go to White's, even if the price is better, because White's Nora Ace Hardware will guide you through any kind of home repair or do it yourself projects.  They greet you at the door and they walk you through.  It is a small and personal hardware store, I know them on a first name basis, and they are awesome.

White's Ace Hardware is located on Westfield just South of 86th St. across from Walgreens, the Greek restaurant, and the school. Right near Steak N Shake.  
I consulted a salesman about some parts I needed to properly repair a toilet myself.  I've never performed this type of repair, and the salesman gave me several tips.  He was very nice and took the time to make sure that I knew what I needed to do and that I understood that it would not really be that easy.  He also helped me load a few heavy bags of salt into my car.  The cashier was also friendly, helpful and efficient.This hardware store is one of my favorites because it is small, yet it always seems to have what I need. There is never a long line or wait, the sales people are always friendly, helpful, professional, and knowledgable.  Every time that I shop there, the cashier and sales people always greet me with a friendly "hello" and offer assistance, right away.  The store is clean, organized, and convenient.  This is the place to go if you are in the Nora area, especially if you don't want to drive all the way to Lowe's or Home Depot.

The woman in the garden section was very helpful. She asked what type of plants we were looking for and what kind of sun/shade we got in our yard. She then gave us good recommendations on plants and how to take care of them.

We love this little Ace Hardware. We did not use a lawn care service provider this year and had a lot of crab grass and weeds and thin patches by the end of summer. They set us up with specific chemicals for specific jobs and an overall weed and seed/feed that would help out our drab yard. We are always treated so kindly by a knowledgeable staff. They are so helpful, and aren't pushy. They have come to our rescue many times in the past.

Great! They are the best. Try them once and you will never return to big-box home improvement centers unless you need 100 pieces of plywood.

PERSONNEL ARE ALWAYS HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. PRICES ARE SOMEWHAT HIGHER THAN THE ''BIG BOX'' STORES AND SELECTION MORE LIMITED, BUT THE SERVICE IS WONDERFUL!

THE STORE EMPLOYEES GREET YOU AS YOU ENTER, OFFER ASSISTANCE FOR FINDING PRODUCTS, ALWAYS POLITE AND HELPFUL STAYING WITH YOU AS LONG AS YOU NEED OR UNTIL YOU FIND EVERYTHING ON YOUR LIST AND ASSISTING WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT EACH PRODUCT. ALMOST AS COMPLETE AS OTHER LARGER HARDWARE STORES, BUT MORE EFFICIENT, FRIENDLIER AND OFTEN MUCH CHEAPER! IN FACT, FOR FURTHER PRICE REDUCTION, THEY EVEN HAVE A LADIES DAY FOR EXTRA DISCOUNTS.

RECENTLY BOUGHT TWO LAWNMOWERS AND A WEED TRIMMER. BUT I AM IN THERE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. I MAKE A POINT OF BUYING WHATEVER I CAN THERE, AS OPPOSED TO A ''BIG BOX'' STORE LIKE LOWE'S. THEIR PRICES ARE COMPETITIVE AND THE PERSONALIZED, KNOWLEDGEABLE SERVICE CAN'T BE BEAT. I USE THEM FOR PAINT, LAWN CARE ITEMS, LAWN CARE EQUIPMENT (LIKE MOWERS, WEED TRIMMERS, WHEELBARROWS, ETC., KEY DUPLICATION, BASIC HOMECARE NEEDS, ETC. THEY HAVE A GOOD ASSORTMENT OF EVERYTHING THAT YOU TYPICALLY FIND IN A HARDWARE STORE. THEIR PLANTS AND SHRUBS ARE OF GOOD QUALITY. THEY CAN OFTEN ORDER ITEMS THAT YOU DIDN'T FIND ON THE FLOOR. I TRUST THEIR INPUT AND KNOW THAT THEY RUN AN HONEST BUSINESS, THEY RECOGNIZE ME WHEN I COME IN AND I VALUE THAT.

WHITE'S ACE HARDWARE HAS FRIENDLY AND VERY WELL-INFORMED EMPLOYEES. I HAD MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT LAWN CARE, SCREEN REPAIR, PAINTING AND SMALL HOUSEHOLD PROJECTS AND THEY HELPED ME WITH EACH AND EVERY ONE. THEY WERE HELPFUL, NICE, AND CARING. I HAVE BECOME A REGULAR AT WHITE'S ACE.

SOMEONE GREETS ME AT THE DOOR AND LEADS ME TO WHERE I NEED TO BE. THEN THEY FIND ME A KNOWLEDGEABLE SALES STAFF PERSON AND THEY TALK WITH ME ABOUT WHAT I NEED AND ARE ABLE TO MAKE HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS - I LOVE THIS STORE AND THE SALESPEOPLE IN IT.

THIS ACE HARDWARE STORE HAS THE MOST HELPFUL EMPLOYEES I'VE EVER MET. THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE TO ADVISE, BUT NEVER IMPOSE. THEY'VE EVEN RECOMMENDED LESS EXPENSIVE PRODUCTS, THAT PERFORM AS WELL AS MORE EXPENSIVE BRANDS. THIS STORE IS MY FIRST STOP WHEN SHOPPING FOR HOME REPAIR PROJECTS.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY STORE. EVERY TIME I AM IN THERE EVERY EMPLOYEE IS HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THIS IS A SMALLER STORE THAN SOME OF THE CHAINS BUT I WILL CONTINUE TO SHOP HERE AS OFTEN AS I CAN B/C OF THIS STORE'S COMMITMENT TO THE CUSTOMER.

I SHOP THERE FREQUENTLY AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. THE CLERKS ARE ALWAYS READY TO ASSIST AND ARE GOOD TO GIVE ADVICE WHEN ASKED FOR. IT MAY BE A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE BIG HOME IMPROVEMENT/HARDWARE STORES, BUT THE SERVICE IS WORTH IT.

THE PEOPLE THAT WORK AT ACE KNOW THE INS AND OUTS OF ANYTHING YOU MIGHT POSSIBLY ASK THEM. WE ALWAYS SHOP AT ACE OVER THE BIGGER CHAIN STORES UNLESS WE HAVE TO BUY SOMETHING LARGE THAT THE SMALLER SHOPS DON'T CARRY. THE PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

BEEN THERE SO MANY TIMES I CAN'T OFFER ANYTHING MORE SPECIFIC. ALWAYS LOTS OF EAGER ASSISTANCE. I DON'T CARE IF I HAVE TO PAY TOP DOLLAR. MY TIME IS MORE VALUABLE. AT OTHER HARDWARE STORES I SPEND MOST OF MY TIME (AS A AN UNKNOWLEDGEABLE FEMALE) SEARCHING FOR AN EMPLOYEE TO PUMP FOR INFORMATION.

THE WORKMANSHIP WAS EXCELLENT. THE PERSONNEL WORKING IN THIS STORE ARE VERY PERSONABLE AND KNOW THEIR MERCHANDISE VERY WELL. I DO NOT REMEMBER THE COST OF THE WORK, BUT I THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS QUITE REASONABLE. I HAVE BEEN THIS STORE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. THE STORE IS WITHIN ONE MILE OF MY HOUSE. DELIVERIES, WHEN NEEDED, ARE ALWAYS ON TIME.

WE CHOOSE THE NORA ACE HARDWARE AS OUR HARDWARE STORE. WE ARE ALWAYS GREETED WHEN WE ENTER. AN EMPLOYEE ALWAYS IS CLOSE BY TO INQUIRE AS TO WHETHER WE NEED ASSISTANCE. THEIR APPROACHES ARE FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL AND VERY HELPFUL. A FEW TIMES WE HAVE NEEDED SOMETHING ORDERED, AND THE PROCESS IS VERY EASY AND HANDLED WELL. ON ONE OCCASION WE NEEDED TO RETURN MERCHANDISE, AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTHS, BECAUSE WE HADNT NEEDED THE WINDOW TREATMENTS. WE DID NOT HAVE THE RECEIPT AFTER SUCH A LONG TIME. THE MANAGER GAVE US A STORE CREDIT WITHOUT ANY HASSLE WHATSOEVER. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE NORA ACE HARDWARE.

I HAVE NOT HAD ANY WORK PERFORMED, BUT THEY ARE ALWAYS EXTREMELY HELPFUL IN THE STORE. THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FRIENDLY!
