Frequently missed trash pickup days. The customer service experience is automated and full of bots that are not helpful. Talking to a human is nearly impossible.

Our HOA was contracted with Rays previously and I had nothing but good things to say about Rays, always on time, no out-of-the-blue price hikes, and friendly service providers. I cannot say the same for Waste Management. With Waste Management it's a flip of a coin whether or not our trash and recycling will be picked up on time. They have lied to our faces and said our receptacles were not placed out, we always place them out the night before. They also have random price hikes without warning. I would not recommend it.

Only way to put it is they are a horrible company to do business with. They skipped our house and two others in our neighborhood for three weeks. We are on a side street they just decided not to go down anymore apparently. Lots of lies when talking to customer service. I was told it didn't get picked up due to severe winter weather. It was 38 degrees and sunny out. Was told everyday for a full week that they would pick up the trash tomorrow. Even got text confirmation that it would be picked up. Unfortunately it never got picked up. Tried to cancel and they transfered me to many times to count. I finally told them I would take them to small claims court if they didn't cancel my account, refund my balance going back to the last pickup, and come pick up their containers. That worked finally got a refund and the containers picked up. My best suggestion would be find a local company to do business with. Local companies tend to answer the phone rather than making you go through an endless automated system to have someone lie to you about what is going on. WM has every characteristic of what is wrong with big corporations in our country now a days. One star is to high of a rating for Waste Management. They truly deserve a negative 5 star rating.

The worst service ever! Would be on hold for over 30 mins every time. They said super would call and did not. The bill is paid and they don’t pick up. Our neighbor hood is fed up with them! They are not service oriented! And could care less. Hello Jacks!

If I could rate this company in negative numbers I would. They didn’t pick up my recycling for 2 MONTHS but marked down that it was picked up. I have a video of them coming down in front of my house, stopping for 5 seconds and driving past, again saying they picked it up. They have also missed my trash bin at least once. I switched to Republic which was cheaper and much more reliable. I guess the one star rating I’m giving WM is going to their customer service because those people are better than the trash collectors. But they promised they were coming out that day to pick it up and each time was a lie. Because they never came I had to bag my recycling and put it in my trash for Republic to come pick up.

Absolutely horrible. We had Ray's for many years before Waste Management acquired them. Hardly any problems with Ray's. Waste Management has now failed to pick up our trash on the scheduled day twice in about a month. This is the second time we've had to call because the truck that came out a day late still did not pick up at our house. We are still waiting today for trash to be picked up that should have been yesterday, and their truck came through today. 100% do not recommend this company. Stay far away.

Most dishonest customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Almost 2 weeks has gone by with no trash pickup, while watching them drive right by our house. False promises are continually being made with no resolution or reasoning for the issue.

Had to remove a hot tub that was in a sunroom. The hot tub had a bad leak that was not accessable and was too big to get out the door and 10 years old so just decided to cut it up. Placed the bagster next to the sunroom. This eliminated moving the pieces any distance. Just dragged the bagster to the curb with my Escape when done. It took 2 bagsters. This project went great since the pieces didn't have to be carried hardly and distance. It was actually kind of fun cutting up what was once a $7,000 hot tub. This may be a guy thing. Will be using this again to place junk in when moving.

Great! On 10/30/06 I bagged 16 bags of leaves & put out for the trash pickup. It was rather difficult for me, because of a hip replacement. The gentleman who collected our trash named "Peanut" would not let me load any of the leaves. He was very kind and insisted on loading all the leaves. He was the only man to collect today, and I know he had a lot of leaves to load into his truck. I want to compliment this company on their service. They were great and very kind to go out of their way. A kind gesture for a person who physically really appreciated their help.

Their service has always been fine. They have never missed a pick up day and have never left a mess. Their pricing is also very good. Our neighborhood association has negotiated a reduced rate and all we have to do is call and identify ourselves as a resident to get the discount. The price I listed is for four months service;much less than the other providers.

We have used this co. for some time w/out issue. We were informed that pickup would be on Thur. instead of Wed. & that we should have the trash out by 6am. The first week, they mistakenly picked up our neighbor's & ours was picked up by one of their competitors. I called & they said they would remedy the problem. The next 2 wks they didn't pick up at all & our trash was gotten by the other co. I called, & the woman I spoke with told me that they can't guarantee what time they will arrive & that they sometimes pickup for the other co. too, which doesn't seem to matter, because that doesn't change the fact that so far I've paid them to do nothing. We found out that their competitor was charging less & have decided to switch. Waste Management, however, refuses to refund our money, even though they haven't picked up even once during the current 1/4 (the price above is 1/4). After filing a report with Angie?s List & a letter with the BBB the co & I have reached a satisfactory resolution

PICKUP WAS OFTEN VERY LATE, SOMETIMES A DAY LATE. TRASH WAS OFTEN LEFT IN THE STREET. GARBAGE CANS WERE THROWN EVERYWHERE WITH LITTLE REGARD FOR WHERE THEY LANDED, OFTEN BLOCKING VEHICLES' ACCESS TO DRIVEWAYS.

AMOUNT PAID IS APPROXIMATE OVER THE COURSE OF A YEAR. WE HAVE USED THIS SERVICE FOR YEARS, WITH MARGINAL SATISFACTION. THE LAST TIME THEY RAISED PRICES, WE STOPPED PAYING FOR RECYCLE PICKUP. THEY OVERBILLED FOR YEARS, SUCH THAT THE RESULTING CREDIT KEPT US FROM PAYING FOR ABOUT ONE YEAR. SERVICE AND POLICIES VARY DEPENDING ON WHOM YOU TALK TO WHEN YOU CALL. ACTUAL TRASH PICKUP IS OKAY, USUALLY EARLY IN THE MORNING.

OFTEN, RECYCLING ITEMS WOULD NOT ALL MAKE IT INTO THEIR TRUCK DUE TO SLOPPY WORK. THEY WOULD LEAVE IT SCATTERED IN THE YARD AND STREET. THEY WOULD THROW CANS AND LIDS; OFTEN BLOWING OR ROLLING INTO OUR CUL-DE-SAC. I WAS ALWAYS APOLOGIZING TO NEIGHBORS FOR THE MESS AND MY KIDS WOULD SPEND TIME AFTER SCHOOL PICKING UP THE MESS. THE PERSON I SPOKE WITH TOLD ME THE PICK UP WAS ON MONDAY. I TOLD HER I PUT THEM OUT ON SUNDAY NIGHT. SHE THEN TOLD ME THAT THEY DIDN'T TAKE THEM BECAUSE I HAD TOO MANY BAGS. I HAD BEEN TOLD IN THE PAST THAT THEY COULD ONLY PICK UP 10 BAGS AND I HAD 13 THAT I'D PUT OUT, BUT THEY DIDN'T TAKE ANY. YESTERDAY, I SPOKE TO FREDRICA. THIS MORNING I SPOKE TO JAMES WHO IS A SUPERVISOR, AND HE TOLD ME HE WASN'T SURE THEY COULD PICK THEM UP TODAY. I TOLD HIM IF THEY COULDN'T BE PICKED UP, I WOULD LIKE TO CANCEL MY SERVICE, AND HE SAID THEY COULDN'T CANCEL BECAUSE MY CHECK TO THEM HAS ALREADY CLEARED.

I HAVE ASKED THE COMPANY FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES FOR A RECYCLE BOX I GET THE BILL EVERY MONTH , BUT NO BOX. ONE TIME I HAD A BUNCH OF BOXES AND THEY JUST LEFT THEM. COST IS MONTHLY.
