We arrived about 15 minutes early for the scheduled appointment. We were greeted warmly and they knew us by our Dog's name and immediately started the intake process. The veteranian ( sp ) examined our dog and determined, thankfully, that he had just strained his neck. The vet prescribed medication and bed rest for the dog for a couple of weeks. We checked out and have a scheduled follow up visit. Everything through the visit was well explained and they were willing to spend as much time as needed to answer any and all questions.
I then asked to have the Medical Director call me. I did not get a call from the Medical Director. Another staff member called and told me I may pick up the medicine. The clerk's arrogance by Giving Veterinary Orders is inexcusable. It is more than reprehensible. The clerk's refusal to honor my request to give my request to the veterinarian is also more than reprehensible. The clerk did give my message to have the Medical Director call me, but that should not have been necesary had the clerk honored my original request.
Clerks cannot give veterinary medical orders legally in Indiana. I now have a new veterinarian.
