They worked well with the insurance estimate. When they started to take off the roof they noticed that the roof was actually not done right, there was not insulation or aligning and the wood was not properly put, so, they went ahead and replaced all of that. They were just very caring and trustworthy people. We were very pleased with them.

They are great. They have done some much for us and thier work was excellent. We are very pleased with them.

Without a doubt this is one of the best and most conscientious companies with whom I have ever dealt. The roof looks amazing, the clean-up was incredible, they worked hard and completed the project quickly, plus my satisfaction was actually important to them. I had a horrible experience working with Universal Roofing. They came out on time to do the installation. They installed the roof crooked and wavy, because the people who came out to do the work were not trained. The tiles were not straight and they had to rip the roof off twice. I am now having streaking in the roof and I ordered algae free roofing. I have algae all over my roof and I cannot figure out if I got what I paid for or if the shingles are defective. I have not been able to get the problem resolved. Following my complaints about the roof not being installed correctly there was a large group of the workers that came to my home and I had to scream at them to make them leave. The entire experience has been extremely stressful.

At first the roof was fine, but winter came and the roof leaked. I tried call them a couple of times. Took them 2-3 weeks to get out here and then another 2-3 weeks to fix it. Their post-response needs to be better.

They did a good job on the roof but their service wasn?t very timely - I had to keep calling them. They got the job done quickly and didn?t leave a mess. I had originally had them look at a spot that needed to be redone because of a leak. After talking to them, they talked about redoing the whole roof because it was getting to be an older roof, and they were able to give me an estimate for the whole roof. They let me know that it would be less expensive to redo the whole roof rather than add a small section. That was helpful. Once they got here, they got the job done quickly and I had no problems with them. They also sent the warranty and all those sorts of things.

They were very helpful about showing us samples and helping us to decide on colors. They came out and did the job. There were a couple of issues that they had to come back and repair, however we were pleased with their work overall. We thought that the price was fair for all of their work.

It went on very well and they did a good job. Initially they came and fixed the skylight, but it started leaking when it rained. So they had to come and redo the work completely. They did some inspection of the roof and gave me something to protect the roof from going bad.

Rob and his brother owned the company. I earlier had my house painted in 2007, but had problems with it. It was very complicated, so they had a difficult time. They had to scrape and prime the whole house. Then they re-painted. They really had a challenge, yet they stayed with it and did a great job. There was a young man in charge and he was very kind. He listened and addressed my concerns. The crew was fine and was very respectful. They got the job done and cleaned up well. If there was any problem, I told them and they took care of it. I did get cheaper estimates than what they quoted. I would use them in future if needed.

They did a great job and I got a $200 discount because they are on Angieslist. Rob and his brother owned the company. He came down and gave me the estimate. He was a very personable and a great guy. I contracted with them and they kept me informed about when they would be here. They showed up with 12 or 14 guys. They tore off the old roof and they worked like bees on honey. They were very professional and got the job done. I had one little problem and they came back and addressed it. I was very happy with their work. His price was in line with other estimates. I would use them in future if need be.

They took off the old roof and replaced it. They did some repairs on the sub roof. They did a fine job. They cleaned up very well after themselves; it is difficult to say that they were there. They explained everything. They seemed to have all the correct papers like bonded insurance and other documentation. I was really impressed. We found them through the insurance adjuster. We did not get any other estimates. They finished the job in one day. It looks great. They did it last Friday. According to the insurance agent, the price was reasonable. A part of the expense will be paid by the insurance company.

The work was satisfactory and there were not any particular problems. They were on time and cleaned up afterwards. The price was competitive and there were not any surprises.

Very well. All work was done very well. Only problem was invoice used to collect from insurance company was poorly done. That can be improved.

I can not say enough good things about Universal Roofing and Rob Yeary. Before giving them the job, I sat down with Rob and explained our unique situation. We have three tenants - all medical - with different days of the week that are the busiest. As the owners, we wanted to keep business disruptions to a minimum for all tenants and patients. Rob brought his entire crew to work on a weekend! I couldn't believe it! By Monday afternoon, it was finished. I walked around on Tuesday morning and couldn't find a single stray nail, shingle or piece of paper...our property was spotless. Also, we had a delay in getting the check from the insurance company but Rob went ahead and did the work.

I contacted Universal to inspect 5 of my properties for potentail hail damage to the roofs. I did this in two different groups because of different insurers. The initial group simply had proposals for new roofs - no information on what was found or if a new roof was really needed. I did not receive the inspections I asked for. The quotes sent were the highest cost of all roofing companies I contacted. There was no information on what was sent and what should be done - just a quote in an envelope. For the second group, I already had inspections performed by my insurance company, so I asked for propsals. These propsals were also the highest of all companies contacted. The quotes were very basic. The additional materials that were sent along with the quotes (Angie award list letter, Angie's List Awards, proof of insurance, etc.) were clearly all photocopies. The photocopies were of poor quality and gave a bad impression.

Overall, Universal did a very good job. Communication at first was a little sketchy, but I understand how busy they are in the summer. I'll give them a pass on that. On site supervision was very good. They manned the job very well, and cleaned up after themselves well. I'm very pleased with the results.

Universal gave us a quote and after we agreed to use their company, they were at our house within the week. They took care of the roof/gutters when they said they would. In tearing off the old roof, they were very good about making sure the old roof was disposed of properly and our yard was completely free of anything from the roof. The employees did an excellent job and our roof and gutters look fantastic! Universal Roofing have their employees nail the shingles on the roof, not use a staple gun like other roofers I have seen in our neighborhood. This company does excellent work and gave us a fair price. In fact, their price was slightly lower than our insurance company had come up with. I highly recommend Universal Roofing.

When I called, I was told that they were very busy and it would be a couple of weeks before they would call and schedule an appointment to inspect my roof. That was fine with me. I'd rather wait for a company with a good reputation. In the meantime, our insurance company approved roof replacement. After waiting 4 weeks, I finally contracted the job to another company. They did call back after almost a month to see if I still needed their help. They were sorry about the delay. I understand the situation of being real busy but a month to call for an appointment is too much for me. It makes me wonder how long it would take to actually get the job done.

Well,... I would have LIKED to have a project, but since they never called back, there was none, and won't be.

After getting estimates of companies, we chose Universal Roofing and a date was scheduled for work. We were told, in detail, who would be arriving when, who the foreman was, how long it would take, and what clean-up would involve. The work started on time, Daniel supervised all the work and answered ALL questions. The job was finished in one day, WOW! Daniel made sure that things were done to our satisfaction and went above and beyond our expectations. He was very professional and understanding. When picking out a new single, it's difficult to tell how the end result will look. Our new roof looks better than expected and in great part due to Daniel and his crew. They had to come back for some cleanup of the brick chimney and the guys were extremely nice, helpful, and thorough.

The receptionist was polite and promised I would hear soon from an estimator. No one ever returned my call.

Wayne came out within a couple of hours of calling and applied the tarp. I received the estimate for repair within a day. The roofers worked diligently from about 7:30am until the job was completed. I had been told that the job would be completed around 4pm. Unfortunately, there was a portion of roof that needed additional attention, so the crew did not complete the job until 9:30pm - and this was just about the hottest day of the year!

Total disappointment. We waited to sign with other companies for this estimate. We didn't get past asking for an estimate.

It was a very good experience. Rob came out to give me the quote and he was very professional and explained everything in detail that they would be doing. When I called for more samples, Rick was very polite and sent whatever I asked for. The workers arrived on time, got right to work. Removed the old roof very quickly. They kept the windows and shrubs protected from debris. they put all of the debris into a trailer that they brought for the purpose. The workers were very courteous. They spoke only Spanish, however the job foreman spoke fluent Spanish. So any question I had, he was able to translate. The group completed the job in eight hours flat. It looks wonderful. They cleaned the jobsite so well. I only found two nails and a couple pieces of paper later. Excellent work. The price seemed a bit high at first, but taking into consideration the market and how anything petroleum has doubled in price over the last year, I felt it was fair.

Several workers arrived on time and work steadily the entire day. Everything was cleaned up after completion of the job. All areas were repaired.
