I credit Rob with helping the sale go through by providing an honest, unbiased appraisal of the condition of the roof. Flat roofs are beautiful but quite different from a conventional pitched roof. Rob and his staff worked quickly to allay the fears of both me and the buyer and bring us together on this issue. He's a great guy and I enjoy working with him.

I had no less than 4 meetings with Universal to discuss the job and decide on a strategy to address the window problems. The estimator was late or did not show to most of the appts. Then I finally got an estimate in June for $21,000 for all the work. One number, no breakdown of costs per each major item. In June I asked for a detailed estimate and was promised one within 2 weeks. I called no less than 10 times trying to get the estimate. Each time the person promised it would be mailed or delivered. I never received the detailed estimate. In August I left a message with Universal stating that I had lost faith in them and that I no longer wanted to work with them. I lost months of time during which I could have had work done on my windows. Now I have to start all over with a different company and probably have to wait until next year to get this work done.

Universal Roofing came out the day I called to look at the job & submit a proposal. Work was accepted and scheduled. They did a professional job.

They came to the house and didn't go up on the roof. They then sent me an estimate for $1600. I later received a second estimate for $600.00 for the same work.

My experience with Universal Roofing went great initially. I called and someone came to my home within 48 hours. The salesman was pleasant and professional. He performed a very extensive consultation. I was impressed. Within 48 hours I had a proposal via email. I had to travel out of town for a few weeks and before leaving I contacted the company to let them know. They were fine with that. Upon my return home I looked over the proposal and called the company with a few questions. I was treated with respect and consideration. The receptionist took down all 3 of my questions and said that she would get with the salesman the next day and then one of them would get back to me with the answers. I never heard back from the company. Two weeks later I contacted another roofing company and had the work done through them. I also contacted Universal Roofing to let them know that I would not be using their proposal. I politely explained why. Within just a few hours I received a phone call from the owner. He apologized for the communication lapse. He was quite respectful and professional. I was impressed that a) he bothered to respond to my email and that b) he apologized. So, while I had to grade the company a D for responsiveness (referring to them not getting back to me concerning my questions about the proposal) I graded them an A for professionalism (both in the consult, the phone call and the owner's apology). It seems like a good company overall.

I scheduled estimate, and it was completed in a timely manner. I did not meet the estimator, but they sent me a thorough proposal via email.

Great. They had someone in the neighborhood the next day. He got my umbrella down, including the little cap, and didn't charge me anything. They were so good to work with when I had the roof replaced, and this just reinforced my high opinion of the company.

Everything went well. So far we are happy with the work, there is no leaks or problems. They were good workers and got the work done quickly. We did have one issue, but the company came out and fixed the problem quickly.

We have experienced heavy rains and there is no leakage from either repair. Would gladly use again.

Everything went fine, I just found a company that did the same work for a better price.

The job they had done was fine. My experience with them was good, they came when they were supposed to and were prompt. We have no complaints about them.

The technician arrived an hour and 1/2 early for his appointment. He looked at the gutters and told me to call the company in the morning and they would have an estimate. I called them the next day and the women told me they would mail out the estimate the next day. I received the estimate and they never came to do the work. I called them because I received a bill for the work but they never cleaned the gutters. This has been going on since the beginning of May and they still haven't cleaned the gutters. The bill they sent me said that if I don't pay in 5 days they will start to charge me interest.

He was very thorough. He offered other services, but only did what I had asked. He was very professional. I thought his price was very good.

I spent about $7500 on that work.

They were pretty professional. The guy that did the installation raced go-carts against Michael Schumacher. I was looking more around the $3,000 level but nobody was in that range.

Their estimate was fair. I decided to go with another company because I liked them better, and I hit off with the owner of the company, and they were going to be on site the entire time.

The overall experience was great.We had hail damage to are roof and guttering do to a sever storm.We called Universal within a few days Shane was here to see what damage had been done. We received an estimate within a few days hand delivered by Shane. When our insurance adjuster came by Shane was here to answer questions and point out damaged area's the adjuster missed. When Universal showed up to do the job Shane was here to oversee the work.The work was completed in one day and the cleanup was spotless,just a few nails here and there.

I don't remember the cost of the service. They were dependable. They showed up for the estimate on time. They showed up as scheduled on the date they planned to put on the roof. They had a big crew of workers. They were very neat and they didn't leave any messes in my yard.

Overall, it went very, very well. It was a reasonable rate and completed in two days. They got rid of the ice dam first which was causing leaks in the house. It was great that they took care of that issue right away for me.

The workers were on time and very good at their job. Finished the job in less than 6 hours.

The experience was fine. I thought they were pretty efficient with what they did.

He never provided an estimate! He did give me good tips on the insulation though. He was trying to save me money on the chimney repair, but another company stated the work needed to be performed differently then he proposed. I give him a "B" simply because I didn't receive the estimate and because the repair he proposed was not the best way to repair the chimney.

Universal Roofing is a great company to work with. I think this is the third or fourth time I have used them for various repairs and they've always been quick to respond, present a reasonable estimate and do a great job. This time I was worried about hugh amounts of ice and icicles on my roof. Also, there was ice forming behind the siding just below the eaves. After an inspection, Universal explained that attic baffles had been moved in the attic (probably during construction of a room addition--not done by Universal), which interfered with air flow in the attic, causing excess ice dams. They also: inspected two additional attic areas; offered to clean up an area damaged by an earlier lightning strike; and inspected two crawl spaces. A total of 20 rolls and 22 bags of insulation were installed in the attic areas and one crawl space.

Went very well. This was a claim on our homeowner's insurance due to hail damage. Rob Yeary from Universal was great to work with - and submitted necessary paperwork to our insurance for claim. Made it easy for us. Very punctual and likeable - explained everything in detail. It was a quick 2-day job and done very well. Right amount of crew to get it done quickly and Rob supervised the job. Have referred others to this company. Would hire again.

The manager was very nice and cooperative. He was helpful with suggestions when we asked for them and he was very pleasant to work with. We didn?t have any other estimates done and we contacted them because they had a sign up nearby when they were redoing another house. They were very busy and they were fitting us in whenever they could.
