Universal arrived on time and returned as scheduled. Did the work quickly, left no mess. Quick and efficient and thanked me for calling.

The workers, were well organized and efficient. The workmanship was very good.

They are not done. They refuse to return and complete the job. Unfortunately they cut a power line and we have called them 6-8 times and they won't come back and finish the job. We've paid them and it is a minor paint touchup and caulking but we call and we call and we call. Otherwise we were very satisfied and we really liked the owner. They won't return phone calls and they won't come back and finish the job so we are very upset.

They did a great job and we were happy with them. They had great clean up. They worked fast. They showed up exactly when they said they would. They also had the best overall price for the roof.

They wrote out a really nice estimate but they did not honor their word for a payment schedule.

I spent about $100 on the job. It turned out to be a small repair. I looked them up on Angie’s List. I would use them again in the future.

They came highly recommended. The estimation process was really nice. The owner came out and got everything done fairly quickly. He let us know that he saw some things that he didn’t like about the way the house was originally constructed and suggested that we got ahead and replace vents and reflash the chimney. I waited over a month which I thought was unacceptable. They had a lot of delays but the owner told me that he would get it done before Thanksgiving. It was mid December before they were able to get to our house. I don't know how the quality of the work is yet because it hasn't rained, but the price seemed average. I waited a month before I heard back from them even though I called every week. They were punctual the first and second time they came out.

Based on the good reviews, we set an appointment for 10006 Parkway Drive, Fishers, IN for Tuesday 12/20/11 a few days ago. They did not show up. When we called, they said their computer keeps dropping appointments and it was irritating. No apology offered. 2 hours waiting for them wasted.

The estimating process was very simple and convenient. We got several quotes and Universal was right in the middle but was locally owned and willing to work with us a little on the price. We signed and submitted the contract, got a confirming email and then did not hear anything for several weeks. I know it was the busy season, and clearly they had taken some action in ordering the skylights, but we did not hear anything about the installation date until we called a couple times to prompt an update. Once they did promise a start date, they kept their promise and the work appears to have been done professionally, quickly and cleanly. Overall a good experience but we would have liked a bit more communication. For example, the worker who came never said when he was done, so I was somewhat left to wonder and had to call to get an invoice.

The experience went just fine. They gave me a reasonable price and did the job quickly.

Team was on time and did a good job. Cleaned up well. However, were not timely in repair of screen they damaged.

The weather got in our way for awhile. Finally when Universal started, they were great. This was a job like none other. The man who built our house should stop by for lessons. We used Universal because we discovered that these Yearys were related to the Frank Yeary who had roofed our home in Broad Ripple. Frank was so good, we felt confident these relatives had been brought up with the same work ethic. We were right. The workers were clean, on time,and polite. All the wrotten wood and damage from previous floods and leaks came off. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them for further exterior work.

He was fine. We did not select him because of price.

I called them on Monday December 5 and they came out today. Shane Yeary came out and got up on the roof and said that my chimney is loose and I need a chimney person. I appreciated the integrity of Shane and I will remember that when I really do need a roofing person.

It is long known that the best form of advertising is work-of-mouth from peoples' personal experience. Even though I have been a home owner for years, it was only recently that I required the services of a roofer. My past experience with home repair service personnel has been less than satisfactory, so, I asked around to all my friends and neighbors, and heard that Mr. Yeary had performed work for them in the past, and that they were extremely pleased with his promptness, professionalism, and attention to detail..not to mention a good price. Mr. Yeary showed a professional and yet personal interest in the job from the start. Mr. Yeary is successful in his profession and deserves the praise in this letter because of a very simple philosophy that makes him stand out from others ---he says what he will do and does what he says at a very competitive price. He has been knowledgeable, honest, conscientious and reliable with me and I shall call him for future roofing needs.

Shane Yeary arrived at the scheduled time and inspected the roof. We felt he was very honest; he thought he could repair a section of the roof instead of replacing the entire roof. He provided a bid for the repair. In the end we decided to go with another bid for a complete replacement as we felt we have several issues with the roof that would not be addressed with the repair.

I was very satisfied w/ the responsiveness and commitment to the job from Universal. I had a roof leak that four previous contractors failed to properly diagnose. All were willing to try something and charge me even if it didn't fix the leak. Rob at Universal was the only contractor that said he would work until he found the leak, and wouldn't charge me until he found and fixed it. I felt I really hired a partner to take care of a serious problem w/ my roof. He and his staff were very friendly and professional. He communicated with me throughout the job. I would call Rob at Universal for any roofing job to my home in the future.

They were great. They were thorough, nice and exceptional.

They got it all done in one day, so we were very glad. We had water damage on our ceiling in two rooms. They gave us the name of a good brick mason to fix our chimney problems. They redid the flashing around the chimney. They also replaced the boots around the vent pipe for the kitchen and bathroom. Our gutters were causing us a lot of problems. On one side of the house, it bowed out in the middle. On the other side, there was a lot of rain that came down between the gutter and the house rather than going into the gutter. We've had gutter guys come out before, but all they did was hammer on the gutters to fasten them more securely against the house. Universal added a liner that goes between the gutter and the house. It protects the wood from water damage and it also helps anchor the gutter better. It rained the next day and there were no more leaks! Hopefully this is a more permanent fix than we've received when we had it repaired before (by a different company). They fixed the gutter on the other side of the house so it's not bowing out any more. They didn't even recommend we replace it, which tells me they are concerned with keeping the costs down for their customers rather than just trying to make more money on a job.

I have been trying to call him since then to get him to come out and take a look. He finally came out and told me that I have hail damage so I called my insurance company to have an adjuster come out. The owner, Randy, said that he would be out to meet with the adjuster, but never showed up when my adjuster was out. The adjuster told me that there was no hail damage, but that someone tried to caulk the roof instead and it didn't work. I have called them multiple times to talk to Randy and left messages with his secretary and he has still not returned my call. I have now had to make the decision to hire someone else to fix his mistakes.

I think I found them through Angie’s List. They were excellent. I think roofing work is touch and go and I have had some bad roofing experience in the past. I was not happy with the first roof at all. So, I was very hesitant about the work, since it is a huge issue. The guy was really nice. I think he was one of the owners. I paid more about $6,200 on the job. I had an attic fan and they told me that it was causing an issue. They took that out and did a little bit of repair there. I had a cupola. They told me upfront that they could not guarantee that they would be able to get it back on. However, they re-roofed the cupola and put it back up. They did a great job. They were very helpful. This was the second roof I had to install. The guy would stop by and check if everything was going well. He brought a bunch of shingle samples. He also sent me down to one of the places where he got the roofing supplies from. They gave me 3-4 shingles to put up in my garage. I put the samples up and I could arrive at a better decision. I will definitely use this company again if required.

They came right out and checked out our roof. They were an honest company. They told us that it was an ice dam issue and that our roof was fine. We would use them again in the future if a roof is needed.

Couldn't have asked for a better job. The windows were replaced without any damage to the exterior siding or interior molding. Beautiful windows, great installation, cleaned up better than before they were there. These guys are absolutely a class act!

Have used this company several times, and have never been dissappointed. Did a great job of insulating my attic. This can be a dirty job, but not with these guys. Perfect in every way!

they did not meet their estimated start or finish time but it was a very busy season for them and they knew that timing was not an issue with me. the crew was a little spotty in the quality of its work but the staff and management was extremely quick to act on my concerns and rectify any perceived problems. my my lasting perception of this supplier is their professionalism and how hard they try to address the customers concerns
