They said they'd be out on Monday or Tuesday to perform the estimate. It's Wednesday and I haven't heard from them. I called the office and they seemed unconcerned that they hadn't shown up yet or that I was going to go with another company.

Overall, I was satisfied with the out come in that the leak was stopped and I no longer have to be on edge when I hear about a rainy weather report.

Work was performed as expected. Workers were courteous and respectful of our property. Only negative was that quite a bit of residue (nails, shingle pieces, flashing and tar paper scraps, etc) was left in the gutters.

We had ice form up under the shingles and caused our roof to start leaking, I called the company and left a message. With in twenty minutes the owner called me back and came right over and looked at it. The next day he had his guy come out and fix it for me. They took care of it quickly and professionally and for a good price.

They took a few days to get back to me after I left a voicemail. But then hey quickly scheduled and performed the roof exam to prepare an estimate. I was told that our roof showed significant, old hail damage and needed to be replaced. I was told that previous repairs to the roof were done shoddily. I was surprised to hear this because we had only owned the home for 3 years and the home inspector had only found a few singles missing, which were fixed before we bought. Anyhow, they sent me a repair estimate the next day. I had to then request the roof replacement estimate AGAIN. It took a week for me to hear back from them with the estimate for replacement and I was told the reason was because someone had to be sent back out to reexamine in order to give replacement estimate. As far as I know, no one else came out and I thought the first guy had examined for both, so I was very confused by this. I thought the repair estimate sounded reasonable at 1,200.00, but the replacement cost was higher than I expected by about $1,000. I spoke to a neighbor across the street who is a building contractor and he agreed that the replacement cost was way too high for the square footage of my home. He said the price should be about 1,000- 1,500 cheaper than I was quoted. I then decided to have my insurance company come out to do a claim inspection to see if they would cover all the "extensive hail damage" and pay for the repairs or replacement. The inspector told me the only hail damage he could find was minimal and fairly recent and other than that a few things needed resealed and shingles replaced. He informed me that it should only cost about $500 to fix, including the cost of painting the ceiling where 2 wet spots had appeared, which was less than our deductible. Although I'm sure insurance companies tend to low ball you, it was certainly a huge difference between $500 and $1200 to repair! Plus, he agreed that the estimate guy was incorrect in telling me we had "extensive hail damage". Overall, I felt uncomfortable with working with this roofing company when all was said and done. I feel they are overpriced and that they tried to mislead me into replacing a roof that didn't need replacing in order to make more money.

After the repairs, we had a lot of rain and it appears that we have no more leaks. So it went very well.

They are really honest and reliable. They have really good crews and do really good work when they come out. The owner comes out a lot times as well. Rob is very good and easy to work with.

We chose Universal Roofing because their estimate was a bit lower than another local roofer for the same shingles & services. Our project was handled from beginning to end by Justin. We were given many samples to choose from & lots of time to make our decision. Once we had narrowed down our choices, someone from Universal came & placed those samples on the roof for us which was invaluable in making the final choice. Once the work began, the crew was here every day, weather permitting & the work was finished in a very timely manner. There were a couple of minor issues at the end which Justin made sure were taken care of & the roof was done - trouble free - headache free from beginning to end. We LOVE it! We would definitely recommend Universal Roofing & Justin to anyone.

They were competitively priced. They are super and I would recommend to anyone!

Universal did what was promised and a bit more. They were careful not to do work that was not warranted, which is rare in a contractor.

We had used Universal Roofing for our last roof replacement and when we had hail damage in the fall, we called them again to get an estimate. Rob Yeary, owner, came out to our house and went over the insurance adjuster's report with us. Two weeks later Rob came back out to the house with his estimate and we signed the agreement for roof on our house and two story shed to be replaced along with gutters on the house to be replaced. We were put on their schedule at first to get the work done before Thanksgiving. But, due to weather the date was pushed back a couple weeks. The crew of about 6 men arrived early morning and immediately covered all the landscaping around the house and started taking off the old roof on the house and replacing it with the new. Another crew of 2 men arrived later and tore off the shed room and replaced it. Clean-up was done all around the house and driveway. They were totally done with roofs and clean-up by 4:00-4:30 pm. Gutters were installed by another crew on 12-18. We had one problem with some damage to the seal and caulking of three of our casement windows which were right up against where the installers had to remove the old roof. However, when Rob came out after the job was done and saw the damage, he deducted the amount to have them repaired from our bill.

Very professional, prompt and curtious. The job was done at the time of the estimate. The estimate given was 150-200 to replace several shingles I provided. My only complaint is $200.00 bucks to replace 10 shingles!.? Maybe I am out of it, but that seems mighty steep. Considering I supplied the shingles and the job took less than 40 minutes from the time he arrived until the time he left. I will not be using universal again on this simple basis. I could be way out of bounds on these thoughts as I have never had this type of work done before. You be the judge own if the work matched the price.

He was very thorough and consistent with other competitors. The estimate was not as clear and concise as previous estimates I had received. However, I will probably not be using them as I have found more competitive prices.

We were impressed with how personal the service was, which was very different from some of the bigger roofing companies we got quotes from. The crew took off the old roof in less than a day, and the new roof was done the next day. They worked fast and did a great job. We would recommend Universal!

During a rainstorm my daughter noticed that the ceiling in her room was leaking and I went into the attic and realized that it was coming in from around the stack vent. I called Universal Roofing and they came out on Friday for the estimate and said that they could get to it Monday which was great since rain wasn't forecast until Tuesday. Tuesday arrived and I hadn't heard from them so I called and was told that the paperwork had gotten buried underneath some stuff and someone would get in touch with me. Wednesday evening I again called to find out what was going on and was then told that the work order was done and somebody should have called me so she would get in touch with them at their work site. Thursday morning someone finally called and asked if they could come out that afternoon which they did and finished the job quickly and from what I can see from down on the ground they did a decent job. So as far as I can tell they do a good job but they appear to be a little disorganized.

The leak was not resolved. His workers came out again to re-do the work essentially about a month later. The young man's name was Justin. He was very energetic and professional. He explained everything to me. I understand these situations are rather hard to solve. He was up in the attic and did a lot of pre-work investigation. The two men that came out didn't solve the problem the first time, but when they came back again Justin was with them. Since their second visit I have thus far had no leak issues.

It went well. We have had several rains since the work was completed and the leak appears to be fixed.

Wonderful service! They were on time when they said. The clean up was great. They walked me through on everything about everything. Even took me to my roof.

We had an estimated date of work to begin, and I wanted to be home when it took place. I was able to ask questions throughout the whole process and feel very comfortable that my rood was replaced properly.

They did a great job and were very courteous. Their pricing was reasonable and they did what they said they would do. Would recommend.

It didn't go at all. He never contacted us with an estimate or a plan for the work.

Always from start to finish, this is a wonderful company. From repairs to complete re-roofs their work is spot on. I went to work one morning and came home to a beautiful new roof in the evening and saw no evidence of them having been there, except for the great house topper. Trust me, I have worked with several of the cities larger roofers, but Universal is the one to call.

Landscaping crushed-addressed before the job to have extra care taken to protect, wasn’t done and nothing offered for replacement after the damage. Table broken, workers claimed it broke upon moving only later to admitting dropped material from the roof above to cause the damage. First attempt to repair table was to glue it-not accepted, second with drywall screws to hold the new piece together (would rust) not accepted third, done before I got home with wood plugs. Screen torn was replaced. Their responsiveness was great before they got the job, not as responsive after the work was completed with outstanding issues.

They were recommended by my insurance company. I contacted them and within a day the actual owner was out to inspect my roof. Their response time was fast. The owner listened to all of my concerns and explained what had been happening and what needed to be done. They sent me the quote and I had some questions about matching the shingles. They were understanding and gave me every opportunity to verify that the shingles would match before they installed them. They completed the work in one business day, and no water has come into my house since even after a recent rain storm.
