Description of Work: I was pre-approved (later stated prequalifed) for a refinance with a credit score of over 800 and over a hundred thousand dollars in equity in my home, as well as funds in my savings account. No credit card debt, and an outstanding history of fiscal responsibility. However, after I paid my application fee I was denied. As a last resort I was given another option that required me to seek an amendment in language in a ten year old divorce decree, provide an addtional year of profit loss data in addition to the previous two years of tax returns, and I would need to payoff the only installment debt I was carrying which they were already aware of prior to my application.
