This was not a good experience. The Patch Boys of Indianapolis were dishonest and uncouth to work with. We agreed on a price for a scope of work, which includes them moving or covering our belongings. First, they told us the job would take five days. We agreed go pay a premium to ensure the job got done quickly. It took over a month. Their team would show up, work for 20 min, and then smoke on our front porch and complain and gossip and cause endless drama on our work site. Their team came back seven times after you told us they were done. We kept finding more that they had missed. And in the end, my team still did an enormous amount of work on the work that we had paid them to do. The Patch Boys of Indianapolis constantly left lights on and all doors in our house open after they left — even after I asked the owner to ensure that didn’t happen. A security hazard, obviously. Finally, they didn’t cover or move any of our belongings. When I asked them why they had started the work before doing so, they said “we’re dry wallers, not movers.” So, we were left with a $20,000 cleaning bill of all of our clothes belongings that they promised would be moved or covered. None of this went according to plan. Would not recommend you trust Sarah and her husband at The Patch Boys with your jobs. Look elsewhere.

I had cracks in the ceiling which I hired someone else several years ago. To make a long story short, I made them re-emburse me for their work. I then found Patch Boys on line and they immediately gave me a good feeling. The Est. for work was timely and the communications between us was fantastic. Jose(the tech) came out on time and did the work in a timely professional manner. He did a fantastic job and after he left I could not even tell where the repairs were. He matched the texure of the rest of the ceiling perfectly. I had quotes from other companies and they said they would have to do the whole ceiling to get it to match. Jose proved that wrong. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Initially we were so excited to find this company with good ratings, but our experience will haunt us forever. They may be good for small jobs, but they were not able to handle bigger jobs. We hired them to remove our popcorn ceiling. We knew that there was going to be dust and dirty, but they assured us that they would protect our tile floors and woodwork. They did not cover any of it. They were leaving our house and told us that “We just got done cleaning.” We walked the house immediately afterwards. There was plaster on every surface of the house. Huge chunks were on our stainless-steel appliances, on top of the refrigerator, ceiling fans, sinks, shower, tubs. You name it and it was covered. They even left their used sandpaper in our bathtubs. We were so shocked that this was supposed to be a professional company. I immediately contacted the owner and she told me “We cleaned it and it’s settling.” After showing her the pictures, she still thinks it was “settling” and agreed to have someone come clean. The next morning, I met one worker there and he informed me that the cleaning crew was the owner and the teenager. I asked him why the house was destroyed, he told me that they only had 2-people for a 4-person job and that they just forgot to cover our floors and wood. He was there alone with a new shopvac and some wet wipes. He even asked me for tools to put the vacuum together. This is after they used all our cleaning supplies and destroyed my mother-in-law’s vacuum (reimbursed for the vacuum). I knew it was not going to be done so I contacted the owner, I told her that I would have a third party cleaner to give an estimate if she is short on employees. She assured me that it will be done. Walking the house for the second time, there was still plaster on the walls, the floors, mirrors, woodwork, and other areas. I contacted her and asked her to make it right and she told me that she was done with the project. I told her that the amount of plaster and dust she left behind, our painters won’t be able to paint. She offered a $300 credit but I would have rather that she did the job correctly. I offered to give her the information of the professional cleaners, but she refused since she did an “exceptional cleaning.” We were quoted $1500 to clean because of the mess left behind. We told her that she can deal straight with the cleaners and would even split the cost with her. I asked to at least come out and walk the house with me so I can show her. She refused to because she was not available. She kept telling me that it can be cleaned up with water. After pleading with her to come back to at least get the plaster off the walls, because we had the painters coming the next day. She finally agreed and came with her daughter. They had a Swifter and a snowbrush. Yes, a snowbrush. We walked the house and got the plaster off the walls, but plaster was still everywhere else. The painters were in shock when they walked our house, they could not believe a professional company would leave a job in this condition. I was embarrassed to admit that I hired someone to do this job. On their website “Sit back and relax,” this was far from relaxing. This was an experience that I do not wish on my worst enemy. I just paid her $7000 to end this nightmare. The pictures still speak for themselves.

We hired The Patch Boys to fill and repair holes in our textured ceiling and drywall left by the electricians who installed lighting and new outlets. They were able to provide a quote via email after sending over some pictures and measurements of what we needed and got us scheduled within 2 weeks. They were very polite, professional, and the work was done very well! I would hire The Patch Boys again.
