Dr. Bartz cared for my dog from puppyhood when he was an assistance dog in training. I continued using her after he became my pet even though I had moved to the east side because Dr. Bartz is conscientious and professional and because they really liked each other. When my dog developed lymphoma at age 6 1/2, Dr. Bartz guided us through the terminal illness.

Dr. Bartz and her staff excelled when it came to the end-of-life experience for my dog. They provided a dimly lit room with a pad and blanket on the floor.

Obviously feeling bad, my dog still wagged his tail when Dr. Bartz walked in as if he knew she would make him feel better. She even laid down with him to say goodbye. She explained to us what would happen and told us to take our time with him afterwards. She mailed the bill so we wouldn't have to conduct any business immediately after.

Dr. Bartz and staff took their time with our dog, read the report they had received from the emergency Vet. we had taken our dog to on New Year's day, evaluated and observed our dog, ran some tests, adjusted some meds, gave him fluid therapy since we had a fear he was dehydrated, gave us advice/instructions and we were able to return home with him, feeling secure that our dog was on his way to feeling better.

Great. We had already received an estimate and we dropped her off in the morning. After surgery, Dr. Sue personally contacted my husand to update him on the surgery and our pick up time. We picked our pup up and we were given clear and specific instructions on aftercare. Dr. Sue stopped what she was doing to talk to us and we scheduled a follow up for suture removal, It was a smooth process start to finish and I felt like the staff and Dr. Sue are very caring about my dog's health and my concern for her.

It was my first experience with Dr. Sue and she was very upbeat and postive. She was timely and cost me less than half of my old vets cost. She was calming to my dog and was knowledgable about Dogue De Bordeauxs which is a relief at a new vet. Her follow up fee was also less than half than other vets and Dr. Sue saw him personally that time and not a vet tech.

The Neighborhood Veterinarian is a very nice person and the price seemed pretty good as well. It was neat that she had a pet cat that was on the counter named Jack that likes to hang out on the counter. It sort of made it more of a neat thing to have there, she's a vet with cats there. The name of the cat was Jack and my dog's name was Jack so that helped too. She just is real nice.

Every time I go in I always feel like I'm being treated right and people are not going to be looking at me, they're going to be friendly. People relations is a big factor with me which is probably a lot of people. I will be using her in the future.

I have taken my pets to Dr. Sue for many years. Recently my cat had a very large, rapidly growing tumor that went from nothing to golf ball size over the course of only weeks. Due to her age we debated whether or not we should put her through a surgery. Being that things were moving at such a rapid pace I trusted Dr. Sue's advice and went through with the surgery. She is now like a kitten again! Dr. Sue's staff is wonderful! My crew has had teeth pulled, war wounds stitched up, shots, fixed dewclaws (from a vet from the previous owner), you name it, she's fixed it! I will say that she isn't the cheapest but she also isn't the most expensive. I go to her because I trust her totally with my furry family members!

They are very hands on and very client oriented. They take their time with you and are very thorough. The are genuinely concerned about their clients, and their four-legged friends!

I have been going to her since 1999. I had to just put down two cats recently, and they were really good about that. They have treated my animals and me nicely. They have a good personality with the pets. Her staff is nice and knowledgeable. There is never a wait.

I will only go to Dr. Sue at Neighborhood Vet in the future, simply because of the way they handled this one visit.

I have taken both of my dogs here this month, for $300 a piece. Everything has been wonderful. The girls who work there, and Dr. Sue are excellent. They are very knowedgeable, helpful, prompt, and they are always willing to answer any question I may have.

We doctored his ear infections for about a year. They never got any better. He then started to have seizures. My family and I decided that we needed to put him to sleep. Took him over to Dr. Sue. She almost refused to put him down for us. She finally did after making the family feel terrible. Refused to let us go back with the dog while she put him to sleep.

I called the office as I had a very old and sick cat that needed immediate attention. I had seen Dr. Sue several times and found her bedside manner to be uneven. However, I knew my cat was old and I wanted a vet that could be there to assist me when her time came. The morning I called, the assistant at the desk told me that Dr. Sue was busy that day and could not see my cat. I told the assistant that my cat’s health was failing and I thought that she would need to be put to sleep. The assistant offered me an appointment on Wednesday. I told her that my cat would not last that long and I needed to come in that day. Her response was simply “too bad...take your cat to the emergency clinic.” Dr. Sue did call back that day and left a voice mail apologizing for the "miscommunication" but this message was not left until around noon-- after all of her appointments had been completed and the office had closed. If there had been actual concern regarding a real miscommunication, the message could have come much earlier in the day. I took my 19 year old cat to the emergency clinic that night and had her put to sleep. Don't count on Dr. Sue. She and her staff will let you down.

The doctor and her staff are fantastic. We've had excellent care and advice. One of our cats has diabetes and they were wonderful about teaching me and my husband how to give the cat shots and take care of him. We've never had any difficulties with them. They are usually on time and we always get a response when we call.

Great esperience and excellent care; she makes every effort to relate to both you (and your pet at their "level"). She has even gotten down on her hands and knees to demonstrate suggestions and relate to the dog. We have a new vet in our family!

Fantastic service and knowledge of Dr. Sue and staff. Wouldn't take our new puppy to any other vet. She has treated our previous dog as well and even made house calls after hours to examine her. Annie and the rest of the staff are outstanding as well. We would highly recommend.

I stopped taking my pet here because I was not a fan of the vets bedside manner. There was also once a situation where I was confronted sternly for not using carrier. The prices were a bit high but, due to convenience of location, I had continued to go in there to buy pet products. Recently, there was a decline in mannerism and attitude of the staff. I am really disappointed in how the attitudes of the staff have seemed to deteriorate over the past year. It seems as if there is a lack of empathy and caring and is almost like responses are mechanical. At this point, I will no longer continue to go to this location.

For a long time, we felt the care and treatment of our pet was outstanding. Dr. Sue is a great vet and a really wonderful person. Recently, however, the office has become too busy to get the experience we want. The examinations are brief and hurried, which makes it more traumatic for our pet. Little sympathy, empathy or compassion are shown for the pet or the pet owner. It is difficult to get an appointment on short notice. Situations that seem alarming to the owners are not taken seriously by the staff. They are always extremely busy. Also, there seems to have been a recent turnover in staff, so we no longer feel like we are dealing with staff members who are familiar with and care about our pet. Now we feel they are too quick to blow off our concerns. We would recommend that Dr. Sue bring in a partner who is as excellent a doctor as she is so that the partner can share the workload and more personal care can be given. We recently took our pet to a new vet who found abnormalities in both exam and tests that were never found or mentioned by Dr. Sue.

At first, we were pleased with the service provided, but I must agree with others that, more recently, we haven't left feeling totally secure and pleased. The staff is constantly pointing out how busy the office is. We don't sense sympathy, empathy or true caring, something that's desperately needed when a pet is undergoing treatments or worse, is sick in some way. We feel we have to pull information out of staff and when it's finally given, it's with some resentment. Sorry, but I need more when it comes to our pets. I believe Dr. Bartz is an excellent doctor and does care, but the overall 'unwelcome' feeling in the office has got to be improved upon.

We were so nervous and worried about the condition of one of our dogs, who developed spinal problems. Dr Sue reviewed the xray, explained the condition and what we might expect. She really cares and understands how stressful it is when something's wrong with our 'babies' and does everything she can to make you feel better and understand options and possibilities. She's the greatest..and the whole staff is wonderful.

Dr. Sue did a great job on the surgery; what's left of his tail looks great. The staff is very friendly and Dr Sue was very thorough checking out my dog and very thorough in explaining things to me. The only criticisms I would have is that I had to take my dog back for a visit during my lunch hour because he tore his bandage off and they wanted to check his incision. They wanted to wrap it again and asked me if I wanted to wait or pick him up after work. I had to get back to work so I left him. I was surprised when I picked him up and they had charged me $10 to keep him there; they should have let me know they were going to do that, because I would have waited instead of leaving him there. Also, if your animal needs a script other than heartworm or flea meds, they will charge you $12 to write the script if you don't buy it there. I wish they'd help their customers save money in these situations.

I'm underwhelmed. We're going to find a new vet, a place where they care about not only the pets but also about the feelings of their human clients. The care is expensive and the attitude of the staff lets me know my business is not needed--they are SO busy. Maybe I don't recognize an emergency, but when my pet has bloody urine I am worried. A little sympathy would be welcome.
