Both experiences were fantastic. This place knows & loves cats. Both cats had major issues & in particular, one of my cats was misdiagnosed by another vet. I brought my cat here & immediately the Dr. knew the symptoms & proceeded to set my cat on the road to recovery.

She was great with helping to come up with reasons for her behavior. We drew the layout of our house and the litter boxes-which proved very helpful in discovering her reasons for her behavior. It was a great appointment. A little expensive, but definitely worth it!

I have been taking my cat to their office for the past several years. She gets very upset whenever she gets near the office, and is extremely hard to handle. The office has to put her under in order to complete the exam and give her any shots required. It's a difficult experience, but they are always professional and respectful of my cat and handle her with care. I always leave feeling better about the process, knowing that they are taking care of her in the least traumatic way possible.

This was our third annual visit to The Cat Dr., Dr. Alice Johns. We chose this practice because it is nearby, and most importantly because the doctor is a Board Certified feline specialist. It means a lot to me that she only sees cats, and I don't have to deal with dogs barking in the waiting room, stressing my cats even more.
Dr. Johns and her staff are always very professional, and listen to all my concerns, however small they may be. She takes her time, and I never feel rushed. It is also easy to get an appointment.
I highly recommend The Cat Doctor to any cat lover in the Indy area!

My cat is very sick and the doctor does a great job caring for her. I don't think my cat is going to make it because she is too far gone. The doctor is very competent and caring. Her office staff is great. Highly recommended.

I made only one visit and I have got another one scheduled for next week. She checked her out and she wants me to come back. As soon as I find out if she has had her shots previously, we can pick up from there regarding how many shots to give her and what to give her. The vet was very kind and very nice. Her office was very clean and pleasant. Her staff was very helpful and kind. I think she is a very good doctor. She graduated from Purdue and I know she is well trained and I feel confident with her. I spent $107 for the shot, the initial exam and the revolution that was put on her neck. She gave me some samples for teeth cleaning for the cat. She also gave me a toy which looks like she made it herself. It is a very cute little toy. She also sent me a card thanking me and welcoming me to the practice. All in all she is extremely exceptional. The price was fair for what she did and pretty much in line with what veterinarians charge. I made the appointment and they took me in right away. They helped me carry the cat in a carrier into the office because I am old. I will stay with the vet because I think she is going to take good care of my cat.

The things went on well and it was a fantastic experience. They take care of the cat's problems very well and they also give tips that are beneficial for the cat. I don't use their mobile services so I don't know whether they do house calls and the grooming or not. I volunteer for a rescue organization and they too do it so I am very happy.

We recently moved to Indianapolis and I sought out a feline specialist. I called to make an appointment and was pleasantly surprised to get one just a few days later. I arrived for the appointment early, since I knew there would be some paperwork to fill out as a new patient. My cat and I were immediately taken to the exam room so I could let her out of her carrier while I filled out the paperwork. Dr. Johns arrived promptly, gave a thorough exam, and took the time to listen to me and answer my questions. The facility was extremely clean and tidy, the staff were professional and attentive. A good experience, and I am very glad to have found a good vet right off the bat.

My cat had lived with kidney failure for almost 9 years. His kidney function had worsened and he declined quickly. Dr. Alice Johns had been treating my cat for years and is a trusted advisor. She had recommended to make a list of the things my cat did and note when he couldn't do those things anymore - like sleep with me, make it to the litter box, eat, play - and that would help me know when it was time to put him to sleep. When the time came, I was able to make an appointment for my cat. Dr. Johns and her staff were so kind and understanding - they are never rushed and are kind and sympathetic to their cat patients and owners. This is the first time I've had to euthanize a pet and I wasn't sure what to expect. Dr. Johns and I talked about it before hand so I wouldn't have any surprises. I stayed with my cat and was able to stay with him for a long time after. The Cat Dr. called the pet cemetery service I had arranged to cremate my cat. A couple of days later, Dr. Johns sent me a very nice sympathy card. She was a great help and support to me in this difficult time and was kind and caring toward my cat.

They are very caring. They followed up with a phone call to make sure the animals are doing OK after seeing them. They are very good with the cats why they are working on them.

Dr. Alice Johns is a great vet. As a feline specialist, she is very knowledgeable and communicates well. She is very friendly and good with my cat. I have also been able to speak to Dr. Johns if I have questions about blood test results.

Just as I expected it to go. X-rays showed no problems in lung areas. Examination showed no signs of upper respiratory infection. Dr. Myra Jones, the veterinarian whom I saw, could find no cause of the noises (snorting). Her recommendation was to closely monitor and if there were signs of difficulty breathing or decreased appetite bring the cat back and possible re-evaluate and consider head x-rays to see if sinus problems were developing. Since cat is 13 years old, subjecting him to extra tests involving putting him under anesthesia for x-rays is something to be done only if he develops real problems. As my doctor (M.D.) and other veterinarians over the years have said, the main use of testing is to eliminate potential causes rather than to determine exactly what is happening. Based on that, I am completely pleased with the diagnosis and treatment. In addition, the entire staff at The Cat Doctor is friendly, supportive and they like their patients.

My cat needs ongoing care. I have taken her to five different practices, and approximately ten different vets. None were as knowledgeable as Dr. Johns. She was patient, caring, and smart. She knew my pet's disease very well, and suggested appropriate treatment. I know quite a bit about renal failure, as we've been dealing with this for so long. Some vets we've been to were unfamiliar with her medicines and treatments. Dr. Johns' expertise cannot be matched. Her care was above and beyond fantastic.

The two veterinarians at the Cat Doctor are great at diagnosis, cure and taking care of the caretakers of the cats brought in for attention. The entire staff has an attitude of caring for the animal and for the owners and are dedicated to taking care of both. Instructions for care are complete and understandable. Follow up by phone is done after procedures by the staff. Results of tests are quickly communicated. We have used The Cat Doctor since moving here in 1999 and have never been disappointed with the care, service and thoroughness of the staff.

It went great. I was able to make an appointment very quickly. I dropped him off at 8:15 am. I was able to pick my kitten up by 10:30 a.m. He was neutered and ready to go. The vet and surgical tech were very nice and their bedside manner put me at ease.

They take good care of our cats. When my wife and I moved to Indiana last year from Ohio, the stress of the move stressed our cat with feline leukemia. We took Pumpkin to the cat doctor (who a feline specialist in Cleveland recommended) and got a bad diagnosis we didn't want to hear - the feline leukemia was active. Pumpkin didn't hold on too long and passed away quickly from this terrible disease. What was beyond impressive was after we left a Saturday message with the doctor, Dr. Myra called the next morning to tell us how sorry she was. They had only seen us twice. These people truly love cats!

WHILE I FEEL THEIR PRICES ARE A LITTLE HIGH, I AM NEVER DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CARE THEY GIVE MY 2 CATS. THEY ALWAYS SEEMS TO PUT THE CATS HEALTH FIRST - ESPECIALLY THIS YEAR WHEN MY GERIATRIC OLD BOY NEEDED AN ANTIBIOTIC AND THEN POTASSIUM SUPPLEMENTS FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. THEY WERE HELPFUL IN FINDING A SUPPLEMENT HE WOULD TAKE. IT`S ALWAYS WORTH THE DRIVE FOR THE GREAT CARE.
