TAYLOR HOMES

I have been in the build process for over a year. Taylor was anxious to close on my house before the house was finished. I repeatedly tried to get them to finish the job. My build supervisor promised me the work would be finished and scheduled a closing for Friday 8/18/23. I explained to the supervisor that my moms funeral was at 11am on the 18th but I could meet at 8am to write the final check. Taylor’s supervisor stood me up , no call no show refused to answer my calls. I reached out to the corporate office at that point some one from the Indy office contacted me and wanted to meet to get the final check during my moms funeral. I advised them I couldn’t meet due to the fact i was literally at my moms funeral they insisted that I meet them in the morning to give them the final check and promised the punch list would be completed. I met them gave them the check and now no one will respond to my calls or messages. I have paid over $400k in cash for a house that’s not complete and I am getting no response from Taylor. Started working with one person the end of january, signed a contract to lock in price. We were waiting on blue prints to be drawn. "He said a couple weeks." Called multiple times in February. They quite returning calls in 1st week of March we called the main office, We are told the person we have been working with no longer works there and we need to come and talk about or plans. The new person states the price was incorrect and it will be more. Her and her supervisor carefully checked our plans and there should not be anymore changes. We sign new contract and she sends in our plans to be drawn. It is now April, the company calls and tells us there was a mistake and we were under charged for the basement $9000. She sends the new agreement I print it compare them the basement was $8000 difference, they added bay windows which our plan did not have, and some other changes really being a $10000 price Chang making for a 16000 total and oh by the way we haven't started your blue prints yet and if we don't get started by may the price will go up $13000 more. While waiting on them. We already have loan prequalification, building and septic permit, driveway. Just waiting on them. We ask for our deposit back we will not work with them. "We can try but we had a contract you signed." We asked to speak with their supervisor and she refused to talk with us. They do not honor their prices or contract only when it favors them.
