SUCH'S AUTO CARE

A moment ago I took my car here on Sunday due to a cable that was broken for my gear shift. They were able to fix it with no problems but the only issue I have is this.. When the mechanic called me to tell me what the part was going to cost, I asked if they could rotate my tires too. Due to a prior experience the week before, I had my oil changed and asked for them to rotate my tires at Best One in Indy off of 86th st. I had subtly marked them because places will tell me they did it...comes to find out they don't. I was charged the extra fee as well. I called them to tell them they didn't and the guy INSISTED they did, and he did it personally. Although I'm frustrated because now this is the second time it hasn't been done, I won't be taking it back there. Dishonest business much?

Said they lubricated and it worked fine but didn't work for me. Had to call on a locksmith friend.

I was impresses by the effort they put into trying to figure out what the issue was with my vehicle. They were informative with explaining to me what couldve been the issue with my Jeep. They were always professional and polite. I WILL go back to them. Even though they did all they could to discover the problem ( which ended up being no problem) they still did not charge me. Ive been to other places where I was in this same situation and have been charged just because they LOOKED at my vehicle. I appreciate Such's for their honesty.

I have used Such's Auto on numerous occasions. They serviced my 1996 Jeep Cherokee and my 2003 BMW 325i. I can't complain about their work too much as it was sufficient (sometimes). I was more unhappy when it came to the communication and how they handled me as a customer. I needed a part to replace a pump in my gas tank (because it was leaking), on the Jeep, and was instructed by Mike to "shop around online myself," to see if I could find the part. Maybe I'm too "new school," but that's why I am paying you. I took the Jeep to a family friend and he was able to find the leak instantly and said I didn't need what Such's was recommending and fixed it very easy. So, I wasted $400-500 for literally nothing with Such's. Also, they have had a connotation when talking about me fixing things on a older vehicle with high mileage. I want you to perform the job, not judge where I spend my money. They have been around for a while and offer okay service, but I'll find someone a little more professional next time.

The catalytic converter on my fiancee's car was mostly sawed off to be stolen.  It was hanging on by a thread and the heat shield was in poor condition as well. We took it up to Such's, where they worked to repair it. They did a simple weld to fix the issue, no adding new parts or changing outrageous fees. They were fair, honest, and a lifesaver. We are new to Indianapolis, but will definitely be returning for any car trouble we have in the future.

I trust them. They would call and say this doesn't need to get done and I can probably wait 6 months for that.

It was fine. They were really good. They were efficient. They were straightforward and honest. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Awesome!  This is one of the most honest, downtoearth shops I've come across.  They don't try to oversell at all.  Going back for all my auto mechanical work.

JJ took care of it. First I took my ford free star mini van to the dealer. They told me I needed a new compressor $1400. 2nd I called JJ he looked at it said I just needed freeon and also put dye in to find a leak. It just needed freeon only $110. My van has kept us cold all summer with no problems.

Job went well and was done the same day.

My family has been using them for probably 15 years or more. We know we can trust Mike and his employees to do quality work and stand behind it, to never trick us into things we don't need, and to bill us fairly. They're all so nice and helpful. They've even looked over used cars for us before we bought them to make sure they were good quality.

Mike is the best mechanic I have ever been to and I would not take my vehicles anyplace else to get work done.  I know I will get an honest assessment of the situation and he keeps me informed of what is happening when my vehicle is there.  I have cross checked what he charged me for parts with a friend who sells auto parts for a national retailer and it was within a few dollars of the wholesale cost.  It is so valuable to be able to take your vehicle someplace where you don't feel like you are a sitting duck.

I've been using Such's for several years.  They are always honest and sometimes come in under their initial quotes.  They account for their workmanship and are very up-front about unforeseen issues.  They always call with estimates and full explanations before proceeding with work.  One of their younger mechanics (Josh) even found a MUCH cheaper alternative for replacing my exhaust manifold - so much that I elected to replace my entire exhaust system!
Such's is very established and every time I've had to have a tow, the tow truck driver (AAA) had known Such's by reputation.
Caveat: They are very high in demand.  Call first for an appointment if you can as their dance card fills up very quickly.  Otherwise you may have a short wait on your repair.
I drive a '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 290+k miles. Runs like a top. The exhaust issue I described above apparently is common with my model of jeep and how they (Mopar) engineered the exhaust manifold.  The replacement Josh found (on his own) was far cheaper and still works perfectly (nearly 2 years after replacement).
